Default Ordering a 2017

When would you typically be able to order a 2017 by and when would the first deliveries be?

I guess the best way to know would be when could you order a 2016 last year and when they were first delivered?

I'm really weighing my options, because for some reason no dealers have anything even close to what I'm looking for on the lot so I would need to order. But if it's so close to being able to order a 2017 I might as well wait.

September.

2016 orders will be taken into August.

I was hoping for a lot sooner than that. I assume that's ordering in Sept you mean, which means deliveries late October or so. Was this what it was last year?

I had read that the '17s won't be available until December of '16. Forget where I saw it so take it with a grain of salt

Yes. I'm guessing not much difference in the 17s. Color changes, sync connect. That's about it.

Negative on there not being many changes. There will be a reworked 3.5L ecoboost, 10 speed trans, new raptor with high output eco and terrain management system, possibly a diesel, and other minor cosmetic and functional changes.

And I'd be going for the new 3.5 eco with the 10 speed. I could see that lagging or being constrained at first if they have any issues or whatever.

I would order as late as possible like in June of 2017 so that some of the bugs in the new drivetrain will be worked out.

I was very happy my truck was built in March of '16 instead of late '15 just so new model issues could had been corrected.

I've read the same thing. Ford is only starting production of the new 10 speed transmissions late July/early August. Previously they were to start making them in June.

I would agree on not buying a brand new transmission too early.
