OBD2 lock
New enough vehicles, if the vehicle alarm is set off, it disables access to modules via the network (ie obd2). Also new enough Fords (should be 15 and up F150s) require a dealer authorized login or a licensed and bonded locksmith login to do key programming. Even me with licensed IDS (non dealer) can't program keys in newer Fords.

The way the system was designed, it was thought that only a dealer or locksmith with NASTF credentials could program keys. The newest green f150s required the programmer to be online for verification. If you use IDS, you must likely have seen the prompts where it requires this information before letting you proceed.
The system has since been cracked and handheld programming devices in the $100 price range exist and are readily available from overseas. I've seen a inexpensive programmer that can do prox keys up to 2020 MY completely offline.

The automotive industry and in particular Detroit can't spell computer security let alone implement it. All of their assurances are pure unadulterated grade A bull sh*t.
if you want at least some meager security thru-obscurity, cut the entire wire-bundle for the OBD connector, rewire a pigtail with an OBD port on one end and a connector on the other that completely jumbles the wire order. Leave the custom pigtail in your toolbox.
You can also hot-glue your CPU to the bracket so they'd have to spend time trying to cut thru instead of 'yoink' and swap.
It doesn't have to survive an attack for 20 minutes with full tools, just 5 and insufficient tools. Though at that point they'll just tow the vehicle and rip it apart at their leisure.
