OBD2 lock
Exactly. You aren't dealing with Mission Impossible types here... maybe for supercars, but not for an F150. They aren't going to show up, stealth their way in, swap your ECU or program a new key, then blast off... they're going to show up with a ratty old tow truck, scoop your rig up, and leave - then do what they need to do at their leisure in some ****hole building somewhere. If theft is a major issue for you, I would be far more concerned about a good alarm, tilt switch, things of that nature.
1 thing an OBD lock could be good for is if you happen to forget to return your Tuned truck to stock before going to get service done !
I don't have an OBD lock yet, but that's what I would consider it to be good for.

That would change nothing. If they need the OBD port to do the work, they will ask you to remove it. If they don't need the OBD port to do their work, they won't be connecting to it.
I don't take my truck to a dealer often, and being a 2014 regular work is mostly done by myself or local mechanic in the area
However, I have 2 free oil changes I could use next year for either my F150 or Flex and will return to stock before pulling into the dealer.
having an OBD lock on your port is a good idea, my truck was stolen last week from my driveway. You can see clearly from the cameras installed in my drive way that the thieves reprogramed the computer. They where able to start the truck and drive away.
New enough vehicles, if the vehicle alarm is set off, it disables access to modules via the network (ie obd2). Also new enough Fords (should be 15 and up F150s) require a dealer authorized login or a licensed and bonded locksmith login to do key programming. Even me with licensed IDS (non dealer) can't program keys in newer Fords.
Nope, your wrong.

This isn't very helpful without knowing your location, model, etc.
I've been looking around online and there do not appear to be many options. A couple devices available in Europe. Appears they may be a little ahead in terms of trying to help close this option for thieves. Would like to find something for my truck as well. Many videos on how easy this is for a thief with the right device to clone a key.
