Very entertaining thread but like many here said it is a good thing digital cameras, cell phones, and social media was not around when I was coming up. I'm glad this OP was able to get something nice from his parents and I remember seeing the first post when he got it.......someone said "appreciate it and take care of it". Looks to me like he was doing what any 16 year old would do.
But come on man you need to test the waters/mud and try it out first ..........you know, just the tip and see how the truck likes it before you go diving into a big ol' mud hole like that especially with the stock tires!
I took mine out and played in the mud a couple weeks ago to see how my KO2s would do compared to the stockers and they did great but I wouldn't try to test the truck in anything like what you were in because I would have most likely ended up stuck too.
Georgia mud is not fun to clean and it hides everywhere
That is why my 15 year old son will get my old Diesel Jetta when he turns 16. He is learning to drive now in it and it is still a decent car (for a normal 16 year old). It gets 48 mpg, had 10 airbags, heated seats, sunroof, and a little turbo engine. But the headliner is coming down and the ac blower needs to be replaced. He and I are going to do this together so he can see that he will have to do things on his own one day and to always take care of what he has. Be thankful you have something with 4 wheels and an engine at 16. I busted my *** cutting grass and cleaning boats at a marina to buy a used 84 Bronco II when I turned 16 and I did a of stupid stuff in it and all through high school but just didn't get caught or did get caught and learned a lesson.
Hopefully that super nice SE will get a quick fix at the dealer and the OP will be back in it next week.

Huhm ...not sure how to comment here ....did you run over a mud puddle?....... that was not off roading.....
What an enjoyable way to start a sunday cup of coffee, i went through all 11 pages! Classic!
Yep, like many on here, thank God there was no internet when i used to take my 2WD 86 ranger in places it had no business.
Granted, i paid for it (half i think) at 16, but whatever, there will always be parents who buy their kids ridiculous cars, not going to get too excited about it. My parents had the money BTW OP, much like many on here, our parents chose not to hand over expensive cars. I was pissed when I was 17 and had a 86 ranger and my dad had a loaded super duty and a 42' boat, but now i look back and go, oh i get it. lol.
With that, if I had that truck as a kid, and knew i was getting a freaking raptor, I'd probably be doing that same crap and have the same smug attitude at that age.
Enjoy your Sunday! Thanks for keeping us updated OP! Actually hope the news isn't too bad.
I had a 92 ranger 2wd before I got my f150 and if that truck saw anything that wasn't paved it got stuck, I called it the on wheel wonder lol.
Auston....I'm curious...what kind of work does your dad do?! CEO of Ford?!?!? Now that you are of age, are you planning to get a job and contribute to the '17 Raptor?
My dad does annuity's. And I wont be contributing to the the raptor.

Wow....times sure have changed. I hope your good fortunes continue but, more importantly, I hope you're prepared if and when life throws you a curveball.
