Default Max A/C Light

When I turn my manual climate control temperature control **** all the way to the left it has a spring loaded extra little bit of a turn. What is supposed to happen whenI do this? Is it supposed to turn on the Mac a/c light along with a/c button light, recirc button light and face air button light? When I turn it to the left I do not get the Max a/c light nor does it turn on the rest of the functions. If the power is off to the climate control kt will only turn it on to the last setting. I would appreciate any help on how this system should work i am new to F150s. Thanks so much.

I suggest hitting the "Max A/C" button. Additional information is in the owners manual.

I do not have a “Max A/C” that I am aware of. There is a Max a/c light in the center of the temp ****. But it never lights up. I am aware of the manual tips and suggestions as well.

When I turn mine all the way to the left to max, the AC turns to full power, recirc light and max ac light comes on.

Ditto here. Also 2015 XLT. Should be the same across all years and trims with the extra turn on the temp **** though.

Thanks. I understand that’s what the manual says but since mine isn’t doing that I wanted to know how it really did work in the “real” world. Mine is a 2015 XLT as well. I will have to check on what’s happening then. I think maybe the gear inside the control could be a tooth off or something. I got a 4” to 8” conversion kit and took the heated seat buttons out. Probably missed it by a tooth or something.

So. If anyone knows the way you might calibrate the temp control **** on a 2015 xlt with manual climate control it would be greatly appreciated. If not I will start experimenting.

Default Fixed!

Max A/C Light-img_1822.jpgJust wanted to let everyone know I fixed my Max A/C problem. When I got home I took the climate control panel apart and compared with my old 4" panel. Apparently I had let the temperature control gear get out of "time". To get it back in "time" the front **** needs to be straight up while the big gear inside has a mark on it that needs to be facing the little gear inside. There is also a hole in the gear that needs to line up with the hole in the circuit board. Like this:
