Cars will never match smart phones that have processors and memory updated every year, apps every week/month, and millions of users. Sync 3 is going the right direction and is in the first stages of release. My wife has a 2016 Fusion with MFT and it works just fine, sync 3 is definitely faster and more user friendly with a better hardware for future upgrades over wifi.

I was on the supplier side of the industry for over 30 years (now retired). I can tell you from personal experience that Ford market research is among the best in the industry. They spend millions annually on product and customer research. Customer experience with their products and services is extremely important at Ford, and senior management review these data on a routine basis.

Early implementations of Sync were probably not "best-in-class" relative to competitive OEM telematics solutions. But plenty of other OEMs had - or still have - kludgy systems. These are well documented in industry trade reviews and in consumer research studies. I'm not justifying Sync's track record. I'm just saying its an imperfect industry, and all the OEMs do their best to continually improve their products and features. Hence Sync "3."

I personally see this being a major issue for Ford in the years to come. As I was at the dealership today getting my truck worked on another 2015 F150 owner was there. His dash was getting replaced for the 3rd time and he was also having major issues with MFT and his 2.7L engine. He said the same thing I have said. I will never own a Ford product again.

Yes that is two.. But two turns to 20 and 20 turns to 200 and so on very quick!
I am likely going to be banned for the comment below, but I cannot bite my tongue any longer on this.

For the love of pete please just go the **** away. EVERY post you make is how much you hate ford and hate your F150 and blah blah blah blah blah. We get it-you're unhappy. Yet, for some reason you spend a ton of time on a forum DEDICATED TO THE THING YOU HATE. You are like a jealous ex-you spend all your time trying to make people around you miserable rather than DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE and focusing on yourself.

GO BUY A DIFFERENT TRUCK AND GO AWAY-you and everyone on this forum will be happier.

Yes I am unhappy because I have been treated like crap and from the man that is written in the title of this post. My truck has been in the shop a lot for various things that I assume you stand up for Ford and say who gives a crap about this or that. You sir and are part of the problem that empowers brands like Ford to get lazy with their quality and their honesty. Standing up for what is right means calling brands out even when you are loyal to them. Unfortunately this forum is full of Ford Loyalist that see no harm in Ford choosing to specifically launch the F150s with cooled seats that did not function during the pre-launch testing. Supposedly it was even documented that they didn't work and some senior staffer decided it was worth the risk. Is that the brand you want to stand behind. Or maybe it is the brand that rolled out a fix for something and knowingly only rolled it out in the driver seat "betting" on the fact that most passenger seats get rarely used (also true for the leather TSB).

I am not dedicated to Ford like a majority of people that bash me on this forum. I have owned other brands before and I will own something other than Ford from here on out. Your statement about "dedicated to the thing you hate" is absolutely wrong. I am dedicated to a bunch of guys/gals that bought these trucks, I like to think that I have made several friends via the forum and helped many become happier with their trucks. My issues run with the quality of service I received. I was dedicated to Ford and they refused to stand up to their warranty and even Mr. Fields was made aware of the on going issues.

"Go buy a different truck" well I am working on it. I want to but these Fords are not holding their value because the Ford market is being flooded right now. It is the number 1 selling truck bla bla well it is because they are doing what other brands did before them... They are offering discounts which is hurting early buyers like myself with resale. If you know of another Ford lover that sees no wrong doing by Ford I would be happy to cut them a fair deal or even let them take over my lease.

Thanks for your wonderful comments. Have a great day.

Not sure if there's any truth to it, but my girlfriend was looking at a Jeep, and the salesmen said Ford will be switching to U-Connect in the near future.

With that being said, I've never had any issues with my sync 2

LMAO, of course not. FCA poured tons of money into it. Uconnect is one of the highest rated systems per consumer reports (i'd link it, but its behind a paywall).

Ford is barely releasing sync 3. You think they will pay to outsource a competitors system?

How about we agree to disagree?? Because I certainly don't agree.

Does anyone really think there's a car company out there any different , any better? Sorry they're all the same. They are in it to make money. Period.

Except for Volkswagen....
