I wonder if Mark Fields knows how badly Sync/nav needs improvement. And that Ford technology is stopping car buyers from considering Ford or that it is stopping current owners from recommending Ford!

Someone at Ford must recognize that to many of today's drivers technology is just as, if not more than, important as the mechanical/styling aspects of the truck.

I am not encouraged that Ford will lead...certainly it will not be Customer Service.

Any specifics? This is kind of a broad brush.

- What specifically is bad about it?
- What would you like to see changed?
- Ford sold +70,000 F series (mostly F150s) in April. Who is not buying due to this?
- What are you driving and what is the Sync version you have?

Yeah, I don't think Ford is hurting too badly. But you do have a point. In getting my 2015, I specifically avoided every truck that had the 8 inch center screen. I still bought a truck, but a lower optioned one. That alone cost Ford at least several thousand from me, and I personally know 3 people that made the same choice.

If ford had software on par with android or apple, their profit margin would most likely be significantly higher than it currently is. They got criticized so heavily over myfordtouch... everyone knows it hit their bottom line.

I have a ruby red 2015 Lariat screw...fully equipped. Would have a 2016 if it had improved technology...then Ford would have sold another F150.

Maybe I am wrong, but it seems like several threads on this forum express a modicum of discontent.

I will mention one thing and maybe someone else can think of another:

Upgrade to ancient history maps should be free...not $149!

I'd actually prefer they focus on the mechanical aspects of the truck along with fit/finish, paint quality, reliability, etc. But I suppose some people would prefer the ability to do online banking while they use their truck. But I guess I'm just old and hate change.

Ford is a money making machine. They (Ford upper management) is all about growing revenue and growing profits. The aluminum switch was more about profit and marketing gimmick than anything. The Ford senior leadership team will not make any changes based on consumer feedback they will make changes on profitability and revenue growth.

That is until consumer reports and JD Power both murdered Ford in their rankings based on the crap myfordtouch system.

So much so that the system only lived 4 years (I think?) before it was replaced by sync 3 (QNX) instead of microsoft.

The lesson here is, dont buy microsoft products, they're crap (but we all know that, right?)

Not so much that the reports are bad... more so sales revenue drops and profits drop.

I personally see this being a major issue for Ford in the years to come. As I was at the dealership today getting my truck worked on another 2015 F150 owner was there. His dash was getting replaced for the 3rd time and he was also having major issues with MFT and his 2.7L engine. He said the same thing I have said. I will never own a Ford product again.

Yes that is two.. But two turns to 20 and 20 turns to 200 and so on very quick!
