Default lost keys

Can keys be locked into a 2016 F150XLT? I can't find mine anywhere, so I wonder if they're locked in the truck, although I couldn't see them on a seat or the center console or in the ignition. Should the door locks be able to lock if the keys were left in the truck?

Yes, you can lock keys in an XLT. I assume you don't have the keypad on drivers side?

It took me awhile to come to my senses and remember I had that keypad, so I did open the truck and looked for the keys. No luck. Guess I get it towed to the dealer for new keys.

Make sure to sync up three keys, so when you lose one, it costs a lot less to replace,

If they are keyless, they are expensive. 225 per key plus programing from complete erase. Cost me 500 when someone stole my truck and took the key when it was found running 2 miles down the road.
My insurance is great and to pay nothing

According to my dealer I have to have the truck towed to his place. The towing company can't get it on their truck because it's in park and 4-wheel drive was engaged when I parked it. Can the vehicle be hotwired somehow, or do I just scrap it? Bought it last October.

park it in NYC and they will pickup anything from streets. Did you try other tow guys ?

Scrap it?

They need to life the back end, put it on a dolly, then lift the front end, and tow it.

Take one of the drive shafts off. Not sure why the tow truck driver wouldn't do that unless it was for liability reasons.

Beat me to it and a better solution.
