My 2015 has a transmission release lever in the center sport console next to the shifter, in the center slot. Not sure where it would be if he has a column shifter.

I had my third key done by a local locksmith, and I programmed it with two master keys. A good locksmith has software to program new keys if you don't have two master keys, but I'm not sure how they physically cut the keys if they don't have one to copy. I assume there is some code the dealer can lookup.

WTF? Just call a flatbed tow. Full-time AWD has been common for over three decades.

Glad you got her sorted but this was smelling fishy in here haha. forgetting you had a door key pad, not being able to get it towed, asking if it can be hot wired and then even considering just scrapping it is a bit suspect and you're a brand new member.
