I have been debating on whether or not I want to get a front leveling kit in order to fit larger tires on my 17 SCREW. I am a little nervous about adding a leveling kit and having potential issues in the future. Could I fit a 285 75 without any issues if I DO NOT put a leveling kit? Or should I opt for a 1.5" front leveling kit just to play it safe? From the pictures I just took, it REALLY looks like its raked. If I opt for the leveling kit, would a 2.5" be a better option? Thank you for the help! Also, I will be keeping the stock 17" wheels.
I have an 18 SCREW and installed the 1.5" Autospring kit and am running 285-70/17 with no problems. A quick search on here will show a bunch of guys running the 287-75/17's without issues as well. I went with the smaller level and 70's because all the 75's I could find are E rated and I didn't want the extra weight (mileage killer) and harsher ride.
Hello All! Been reading on this thread cant seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I have 2016 Scab 4x4 2.7 Sport. I am due for new tires, and was thinking about leveling out the front of my truck with the Bilstein 5100's. My question is what is the biggest size tire I can put on the stock 18" rims with the 2" lift and have no rubbing?I drive primarily on-road with a few off-road excursions from time to time nothing hardcore. I'm kind of looking to the Cooper Discovery AT/3's. Thanks!
I think a 35” 12 x 50 with a 2 inch level on stock works. As soon as you try spacers or too much offset on this tire it may rub. One of our local dealers fits some of their trucks with the 35’s on stock 18’s. I have also seen 35 on fx4 20” rims. Not sure how they get away with that but it apparently does not rub.
Finally pulled the pin, 2" level (brought me up a full 2.5" for some reason) and 285/70R17. Not the best photos but will get better when the weather clears up.
I installed a 2" rough country kit with the blocks on my 2wd Screw. It looks a lot better now. Now I need bigger tires because my buddy said it looks like I skipped leg day.
