OK been through all the pages and I saw a few people ask last year and year before but no answer, so maybe some one does now. Will the 3" front spacer on a 2wd 2015-17 f150 work out with out rubbing the control arm on the spring or have to bad of a angle on the upper control arm ball joint? From what I have found I only get that the 4x4 models will have that issue. My view is that is b/c the 4x4 is already higher then the 2wd and has the same control arms, so the added lift of being the 4x4 and the added 3" spacer lift would be like a 4.5" puck being in a 2wd to have the same rub and geo issues. So still hoping to find out if anyone has info on that being a 2wd.

I finally can say my truck is done (well, for now..).. I had my level kit installed by a buddy on Saturday, only took him a couple hours to do front and rear as he has a lift and all the tools. Dropped my truck off at the tire shop after that to leave for Monday morning and they had me finished up yesterday afternoon. He called to say it was done and that it looked great BUT it was rubbing... heart sank just a little but I figured it was just the Weathertech flaps, and it was. So I'll either try to trim or just remove them. Otherwise, there is PLENTY of clearance for crash bars and everything else.

I am very happy with the way it turned out, aesthetically. Time will tell as far as the ride goes, but just driving home my initial impressions were that it was definitely more grounded over bumps/potholes/washboard gravel/etc. It did seem a little different/looser on the highway as far as steering feel, so not sure what to attribute that too yet.

I took it to my back fields before I came home and ripped around a little and just got a big S eatin grin on my face. Its going to be fun. Now if we could just get one of those big late snowstorms or some rain, then I will go play.

I know my wife isn't going to be thrilled when she has to drive it because it probably ended up getting about a 3-3 1/2" overall lift. But, I have to drive her minivan occasionally so its a fair trade, right??

Details are in my signature, but if you cant see it, here they are:
Front level- HaloLifts Boss 0-3" coilovers set to ~2.75"
Rear Shocks- Fox 2.0
Rear Block-Readylift 3"
Tires- Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70/18 (33.98x11.5)
Rims- XD Hoss 2 Satin Black with Tinted Edges 18x9 -- I was a little concerned how these would turn out considering I ordered them online without ever seeing in person, and they appeared to be a little bronze/brown around the "tinted" edge.. but in person they are basically just a dark milled grey, and its absolutely perfect.

After I had my topper installed, still with stock 20s

Swapped 20s for 18s. Planned to keep them but worried the offset wouldn’t work well.

After level

All finished up

I like the stance a lot

The Ridge Grapplers look SO much more badass in person

285/70-18 RGs is what I'd like to go with on my stock 18s once I level, but cost may play a big factor and cause me to go with 275/70.

Heres the rest.

The +18 offset was perfect.

These took some time. But I think they turned out great. Hopefully the hold up as i really don’t want to do that again.

The rub being caused by the width OR the height of the tire?

I know I know. But what was going to be a 5-600 job turned into about 6 times that much. We’ll see what happens after I get all this paid off.

probably a little of both, but I’d guess mainly height. It only needs maybe 1/2” to be clear, these guards just aren’t very streamline on tire side

Are you going to trim the Weathertechs or remove them?

Really like the look of the truck.

I will probably try to trim. They’re rubbing on the inside edge so if i can fix that and still maintain the functionality of the outside edge and protect my truck as much as possible, that would be ideal.
