And, one more post... I realize now that perhaps in your prior posts on this matter you did inform us that you had been looking for a C Load Range... so forgive me, there. Again, good luck. I'm out of suggestions. Imagine that!

You could if all you'd like is a more-aggressive appearance find one of the lightest P-Metric you can find (rather than an LT), choose a wheel also for it's lighter weight and come in at under 70 lbs total each wheel/tire (17 X 8.5 Motegi Trailite and P285/70-17 Firestone A/T2)

... and some A/T tires can have a decent appearance but also have far less rolling resistance than others. These things go a long way to minimize the hit on your fuel economy. Ask me how I know.

I went from this:

To this:

...and suffer an additional 1.5 MPG loss across the board from the first 1.5 MPG hit going from the OEM tire size and super-light weight.

I don't like the mpg loss but I expected it. I still don't like it, but now I have a tire and wheel better suited to tight turning (no rubbing), better off-highway traction and a more-durable tire for when I'm 50 miles from pavement. Everything we do that affects unsprung weight and effective final drive gear ratios matters, and everything is a tradeoff.

I wish you a bullseye in your attempt.
Nice looking truck. About the height I want. My problem is I want to stick with the stock 7.5 wheels. Trying to keep the cost manageable. Kind of limits me once I get over 285. I would really prefer the P if I can find one.

Thanks for trying. Maybe I should just pick one of the lighter 285/70, like Toyo. I would be happy with p285/65 but says I need an 8 inch rim. I know someone on here says it will fit, but I’ve also heard many places won’t mount it if manufacturer says no. I want the warranty to be covered. As far as clearance, to go the taller route I do plan to raise the front a little.

Consider a 265/70-18 P/Metric that is also 32.6" diameter, and well under 50 lbs tire weight.

Rim width range 7" - 9"

Thanks. I did look at that, and even though I like the extra height, it’s only a half inch, and I’m not sure I would want to lose the width. I like a little wider look. That’s one reason I was leaning towards a 285/70 as opposed to a 275/70. Just personal preference. Now, that Falken ATW3 and the new ATW4 are wider, at least tread width, than most other AT tires of the same size. I’m almost leaning towards keeping the same size I have 275/65 in p metric and going with the new ATW4. It’s 49 pounds and a half inch wider than the Michelin’s I have on now. Too many choices 😂 Thanks for looking!

I got the Rough Country 2.5 inch level struts. Love it

What is the proper way to go without issues? Which previous year kits fit the new model? I have 33 inch tires with 18's I want to put on it.

What setup are you guys running (leveling kits only please) ?

Thanks in advance and pointers will be appreciated.

Fox 2.0 Stage 1 installed (like in the early post videos from Stage 3 motorsports) and 285/70r18 on

stock wheels. no rubbing. Your proposed tires are .88 inches taller and same width. Could be close.

That’s exactly what I’m looking to do. Look like Toyo A/T3. Nice. How did it affect your ride?

Well, I’m committed now. I bought four new Wildpeak A/T3W in LT275/70R18. Load E. 60#. Like you said, it’s a truck.

I was still going back and forth and was all set to go with the A/T3W in 275/65R18 (stock 48#). Then this guy near me advertised two of the LT tires listed above, brand new, stickers still on them for $300. For both. Retail most places is $340 each (if you can find them, they’re being discontinued). We have mutual friends so I know they weren’t stolen. He sold the truck he was going to put them on and just wanted to get them out of his garage. I couldn’t pass it up. Just had two more delivered today from simpletire.com. So I’m all set. Now I have to hope they fit or there’s a level kit in my future.
