I read somewhere at this site, 2" - 2.5" is about where the safety net is W/O having to worry about screwing up yer front end.

Would a tru 2" level make it even with the rear on a 4x4?

You will need to measure your rake (difference between rear and front level). I was surprised that the rake varies as for me it is something that the manufacture should set standard, but it is not. Every truck is different.

the rake on my truck is 1.5 inches, for example, so 2 inch leveling will bring the nose way up. Measure your rake first

Here are my results (from an older post elsewhere) with the Rough Country 2.5 kit. Your results may vary with a different wheelbase truck.

On my RCSB 4X4 with 34s + Halo/Boss Coil-Overs, they needed about 1.75" to level to my liking...Probably different for the S & SC trucks?...My Guess, 2" would be awfully close.

My scab 5.0 sat 3" low in the front
I put a ready lift 2.25" level on it
Now sits 3/4" low
Go back a page to post #213 to see pics.

Here's a picture of my 13, I had 3" in the front for 80,000 miles, no issues, I have the same setup on my 16, hope I have the same luck!

Mine shows 0* after a 2" level. If you do the trig, you're changing the angle less than a degree with a 2" spacer, even on a 145" wheelbase.
