Default Lead Foot

Potential new 18 F150 buyer here, previous 13 150 and 15 250 owner, now 16 Ram 2500 owner. Looking at the Lead Foot color, is that more of a matte color...

The color really changes in light. I personally wouldn't describe it as "matte". In some like I see grey with khaki, in other like I see grey with blue.

It's not matte, but theres no depth to it. It looks like wet clay.

I personally wasn't a fan of it on the truck when I saw it. It looks better on a Mustang.

In direct sunlight it does have a kind of matte look but it really changes in different lighting and definitely isn't matte. It's kind of a lighter version of the lithium of the prior two years (which I have in a 2017 and love). Its a unique color and I personally love the look.

It's flat looking in the sense that there's no metallic in it. If that makes sense.

For me, both Lithium and this are hard colors to make a decision on. I have to agree that it almost always initially reminds me of a vehicle in primer, and that isn't a good thing.

But, when it is all cleaned up with some red accents in the right places, to me it definitely looks good (and it is somewhat unique which is cool).

I do like that it doesn't have any metallic in it, which makes it look more pure in my opinion (I also like the Oxford White and Race Red for this reason).

It's definitely a color you have to see in person. When I first saw it (and I am a huge fan of grey/silver vehicles) I really didn't know if I liked it or not...kind of 50/50.
