LOL, it would certainly be easier to keep clean compared to other colors. I like it, if presented correctly to my taste. It's definitely a different color.

I suspect, if one was to take care of it like any other color, except maybe black, the swirls etc., wouldn't be a problem.

This is 100% fact. If you’re OCD about your paint then Lead probably isn’t the best color for you. It’s the only reason I didn’t get it.
I would have to disagree. I have Race Red for almost a year now which has no metallic in it (I would not describe it as 'flat' but that is just me I guess....flat to me is a non-gloss color). I have zero problem with swirls/scratches and it has been through dozens of automatic washes. I don't have any chips yet, but when I do get them, non metallic paints touch up far easier and better than metallic paint.

Probably be fine with good wash and care but new before it even leaves the dealer.. No thanks
Do you think it was specific to the color? I am not seeing this with other non metallic colors (Oxford White and Race Red) so maybe I am misunderstanding. Is this problem specific to Lead Foot or Lithium?

Not sure, 2 different dealers, looked at magnetic gray and lead foot..both lead had swirls, lots of them but only in the right lighting, the magnetic did not. Could have been a fluke, I'm positive they can be buffed out and protected. I would say all vehicles are subject to an idiot doing the prep. as none come waxed from the factory
