Most of my driving is highway driving or small town surface street driving. Only when I'm at the cabin do I traverse dirt, sand, and mud. In winter months, it's lots of snow covered roads depending on our season. I've not been able to relate the issue to specific surfaces over which I travel. I use 4x4 primarily when winter weather is bad enough to necessitate it, or when at the cabin in early spring slop on the 2-tracks and dirt roads getting to and from the cabin, or to and from fishing and hunting locations.

I'm about to replace mine, just can't figure out which part works...one is half the price of the other...

$800 is insane. Watch this video, he's one of the few guys on utube that knows what he's talking about. If you can use tools, you can do it. You can also pick up an IWE actuater at Tasca Ford for around $35, a far cry from $800!!!!!!

Don't know where you're finding that other PN, but this is the only one I can find for a 2015 F150. Whatever you buy, OEM is the one you want. I answered you in the other thread as well. Part #13 in this link;https://www.tascaparts.com/auto-part...ive-axles-scat

Goes away in 4H or 4A?

$800 does seem a little high. Was that for both or one?

I'd check the check valve and vacuum lines before spending $800. Even replace the check valve and solenoid first.

I took my truck to the high volume dealer. The service manager and a tech put the "ears" on my truck again. The measured vibration was so slight that the truck is within spec, but both could hear the noise. The manager said that based on his 20 years of experience diagnosing driveline noises and vibrations on f150's, the REAR driveshaft is most often the culprit. He claims the vibration can 'excite' components in the front driveline causing replacement of parts that aren't bad. New driveshaft assembly is on order and will be installed next week. While I understand the physics behind his statement, I'm not confident in his assessment. Ultimately I hope to hell he is right!
Thanks for replying, my dealership as well put chassis ears on it and a vibration analyzer... the vibration frequency is very low that the analyzer cant pinpoint the area. But when on the hoist the technicians and managers can feel the vibration in the chassis by hand...

looking forward to see if a driveshaft fixes yours!
