Its definitely the module. I put it back in, sure enough abs and tc problems. I'll see if activating it monday fixes it. If not it'll have to be replaced.

I just pulled the trigger on this system as well (my comprise to not being able to do the heated steering wheel conversion). Fortunately, I didn't get any abs or tc errors but I already had factory start and didn't have to mess around with any forscan settings.

I did, however, have issues with the shock sensor. I also couldn't get it to trigger. I talked to the seller (Beau Rogel) and he mentioned it should be zip tied to the "plastic defroster tube." For me it's not a big deal as all I was really interested in was the remote access and don't feel like refastening the sensor box.

Currently Beau (of Keith White Ford) is running a Facebook special on this setup for $225 shipped. I'm not on FB so just texted him (he also has these on ebay where I got his # from). He sent it out right away and activated it for me via text. Worked great.

He said I could share his # (601-383-5580) and to just text him if anyone is interested. $225 is definitely the cheapest I found!

Lastly, thanks the OP on the initial writeup - Was very helpful when doing the install (took about 10mins).

GTFO

Great price, wish you would have posted this A WEEK AGO!

Finally got mine installed with the correct module and just activated it 30 mins ago. I kinda hate the long delay after pressing a button, but I understand it has to traverse the cell network.

Sorry man, I just found out about it myself. It sounds like the $225 special is still going so if anyone is in the market I'd hit up Beau.

I did notice the lag when hitting a button, although it doesn't bother me too much. Having this capability is pretty awesome!

Just make sure you plug the OBD wire in correctly to avoid any issues down the road.

I ordered mine through Beau today. He responded immediately and was awesome to text with. Just waiting on the shipping confirmation.

Do you need the Vehicle Security System - Upgradeable, Bi-Directional Remote Start Antenna Kit ,Part No: DL3Z-15603-C too or just the VSS and Remote Access modules?

O.K., here goes. I'm going to lay it out there, exposing my stupidity to the world. I bought the VSS and LED kit for my truck. After installation while I was testing it, when I arm the system and open the drivers door to trip the alarm I get a 12 second interior chime before the alarm goes off. According to the directions that means I already have the perimeter alarm on my truck! I never knew this. I guess in the year that I've owned it I never did anything to set it off. Once I figured this out, I disconnected the VSS module and wiring and performed all the tests in the instructions and got the same results. Opening any door or the hood after locking the truck from the key fob sets off the alarm. I didn't even realize this at first. I started troubleshooting because the LED wasn't doing what the instructions said it was supposed to do. It only would go solid for 2-3 seconds after the module was plugged in and then blink steady all the time after that. and I mean all the time. Truck on or off, alarm set or not. Never varies, blinks like once a second. Also I can't get the shock sensor to work. Nothing I do will set it off. So I guess other than the shock sensor feature, I really don't need this. Correct? And for some reason I can't even get that working. I didn't get it for the remote start or remote access, I already have an aftermarket setup for that. So I'll ask the gurus, Is installing this pointless? I'm all ears.

You have the wrong part. The VSS is a FT4Z part number.
