Got mine installed and activated. Works like a dream. Only problem? The wifey wants it for her X.

Awesome, good to hear. I didn't think I'd enjoy this capability as much as I have but so far have been very impressed.

My wife just got a 2017 Escape Titanium and it comes with the app/software from the factory at no charge. It stops, starts, shows fuel level, shows a map where the car is etc. I wonder if there will be any way to run that on our trucks..?

I see that the app that runs this software has not been updated since 2013, I guess that it has been abandoned? I have an iPhone running iOS 10, and this was written for iOS 5 or above, I'm afraid that this app simply won't run in the near future. Thoughts?

Got mine installed yesterday. It doesn't work. At all. I think they sent me the wrong modules because the p/n are very different from what is listed in the title of this thread. Of course Beau doesn't answer his phone. I called the dealership where I bought it and he was out. I told them Beau or his manager better call before the end of the day or I'm reversing charges and calling BBB. Beau called me back in about 5 minutes. We went through the re-install and test over the phone. Still nothing. He seems to think I have a bad module or harness. He is sending another kit to me on Monday. I'll give it another try. He said the p/n thing is not an issue. IDK,we'll see what he sends the second time and if it works or not. I gave him the p/n everyone else is using on here. I looked up one of the p/n of what he sent and I think it's for an Escort.

Wow, sorry to hear about this Carrier - I would be just as frustrated/upset. I obviously wouldn't have shared Beau's info if I had a similar experience. Hope the new part takes care of it. Please keep us posted.

I had similar thoughts, Vector and tried to do as much research as possible on weather Sync Connect could be retrofitted in a 2016 with Sync 3. Everything I kept hearing was 'no' as the service is tied to a specific Vin. Not sure if that will be the case or not but that's what I read.

As far as the app goes, it's definitely dated but for what it does it works just fine for me. Being that Ford has many vehicles (I assume) using this service I don't see them abandoning it, at least not without replacing it with another solution.

So far I'm really pleased and have zero Regrets fwiw.

I received the correct module and harness this time. Got it installed and tested. All the security functions work correctly! Sent in my info to Beau, waiting on the PIN so I can create the remote access account in the app. Looking forward to using the remote app!

Excellent! Glad to hear things are looking better Carrierj. Sorry to hear again about the initial experience. Hopefully Beau has been better to work with this time around.

I really think you'll love this capability - We had some ice/sleet going on all day today in MN. I hit the remote access from the app and when I went to leave work (no covered parking) the truck was warm and windows were ice free. Such a nice feature!

When Beau called me on Friday, he assured me that he is not avoiding or intends to appear as shady. He told me when he puts these types of deals on Forums and Facebook, he gets overwhelmed with orders and things tend to get a little crazy.

I am looking forward to using it for situations like that. Although winter down here does not see much ice/sleet, if any. In the summer when it's blazing hot, I will be able to get the AC going without having to leave my office and walk to the front of the building. Technology is making us lazy lol.
