Ordered the modules last week from Levitton Ford last week and installed them on Sunday. Finally had time to catch up with Benny this afternoon and he quickly activated the module. Very easy install. Works great and like the alerts.

Excuse my ignorance buy I just bought my f150 last night. It has the remote start. Is this something different that is equipped?

The remote access module, is basically a cellular modem that interfaces with the security/remote start system. So you can use an app on your smartphone to remotely start/local/unlock the truck. It will also send text/email alerts if the alarm goes off. For me the remote start will be nice since you don't need to be near the truck to start it. As long as you have cell service or wifi you can control the vehicle. I'm looking forward to having it this winter when we goto the gym, since my key doesn't work unless I'm outside the building.

The text alerts will give me some peace of mind when traveling and pulling a trailer, lots of time we have to park in some back lot or away from everyone else.

If anyone is interested in adding the remote access, there are kits available on ebay from Fairway Ford for $300, which is the cheapest I've found it. I unfortunately got it for $400 before they dropped the price. The username is fairfome. I assumed I couldn't supply a link in the forum to an ebay listing? Hopefully someone can take advantage of it...can't really beat it for that price, and the service guy was really helpful when doing the setup.

I just bought both modules as a kit from the ford seller here (Banner Ford) for 309 shipped. Would have loved to get it at 300 or below, but 309 is close enough.

So I got them this morning and started installing them. Did we ever get to a consensus what the two white wires are for? They're not for starter interrupt IIRC someone saying.

Also, whats the empty connector on the back of the OBD2 module? The service manual has no mention of it.

And what are the small ports on the other side of the box? The two small grey and the one small blue ports?

Also, does the whole system need to be activated before the shock sensor becomes active, that is, the perimeter security FS7Z-19A361-A? I have it turned up to max sensitivity (yes its mounted directly on a metal surface) and it wont do anything.

Thanks!

Ok answering my own questions:

the small connectors on the side (next to the adjustment k-n-o-b) are for the range extending antenna, the other is for the LED. The third one is apparently for the included jumper, which apparently disables the alarm system and RMU.

Still having issues with the shock sensor working despite cycling the key for the truck to learn it.

Well crap. Now I am getting ABS and TC errors on the cluster/IDS/forscan.

Did anyone here have this many problems with their system? I have remote start enabled so this should have been plug and play. Any ideas?

WTF...
