How to program TPMS?
Hi Gents,
I searched this forum and didn't find this topic so I started a new one.
I bought a set of winter tires and rims from costco. Then I bought Ford TPMS from the dealer. I hated them, they asked for $95 CAD each TPMS, and fortunately I kept the receipt which my truck sale person was trying to sell the tires package to me. It was $54CAD each. so I showed them the receipt and they agreed to sell me $54 CAD each instead of $95 CAD each. Wow, I lose the trust on them. They said after installing TPMS, I have to come to dealer for re-programming it. I don't want to go back in the near future.
So I am thinking if I can program TPMS by myself?
I googled it and found this too from amazon
Anyone has this TPMS relearn experience? Before using this tool, what procedure do I do inside the truck to trigger this relearn process?
Another questions:
- after relearn it, each time I change the tire set like summer and winter tire sets, do I need to relearn them again?
- could I use this above tool to my Acura MDX TPMS relearn as well? or do I have to buy another one for Acura?
Thanks Guys.

Your manual will tell you how to activate your new sensors. Make sure the tires/rimes with the old sensors are not close to the truck when doing the relearn.
I wouldn't spend the money on the tool. If you do it right it's not needed.
