I bought a set of winter tires and rims from costco. Then I bought Ford TPMS from the dealer. I hated them, they asked for $95 CAD each TPMS, and fortunately I kept the receipt which my truck sale person was trying to sell the tires package to me. It was $54CAD each. so I showed them the receipt and they agreed to sell me $54 CAD each instead of $95 CAD each. Wow, I lose the trust on them. They said after installing TPMS, I have to come to dealer for re-programming it. I don't want to go back in the near future.

So I am thinking if I can program TPMS by myself?

I googled it and found this too from amazon

https://www.amazon.ca/Motorcraft-TPM...ords=F150+TPMS

Anyone has this TPMS relearn experience? Before using this tool, what procedure do I do inside the truck to trigger this relearn process?

Another questions:

- after relearn it, each time I change the tire set like summer and winter tire sets, do I need to relearn them again?
- could I use this above tool to my Acura MDX TPMS relearn as well? or do I have to buy another one for Acura?

Thanks Guys.

I have the part you describe but paid less at the dealer check ebay if your tires do not auto relearn. Ebay is half the price.

I ended up buying Costco snow tiresand installed them at costco $60 for 4 tires. The brigestone blizzard DM V2 are so good. They even helped me re-learn the TPMS. Wow, thank you Costco. The gentlemen also reminded me to come back to costco to do relearn after switching back to summer tire. it is free. Wow, I like costco. They said they have a special tool and very easy and quick to do re-learn.
