Ya that's what I was going to do but I figured it was worth a try and it worked out. Not sure about the hard cover back flip ones. Mine was velcro on the sides so it had some room to play with. Those things are not cheap.
I should have just tried and put it on as well
The bed length is the exact same. Should have measured the widths off of each truck before selling the cover.
Hi all! New 2016 XLT owner here. I've just finished reading all 82 pages of these tips and tricks, took me several sessions over the last week. But I picked up some great new tips! Personal favorite is the "McDonald's Sauce Packet Cupholder"! (It's also good for a cell phone!)
I have a new trick that I haven't seen yet. If you have one of the trucks with manual climate control, like mine, you don't have a software button for the climate control screen showing temperatures, airflow, etc on the big center dash LCD screen. But if you turn on Max AC, and then press the Recirc and AC buttons simultaneously, a "hidden" climate control screen comes up!
I don't know why this happens, it doesn't work every time, sometimes you have to mash the buttons. I'd managed to pull this screen up during a test drive, which made me think that the truck I was getting had dual climate control. Confused me when I got home and couldn't figure out how to pull up this screen again. I found it again by accident again this weekend. It has all of the buttons for dual temp etc, but they don't work of course. Obviously some sort of glitch, however it does show actual airflow, AC status, etc so it might be useful if you want to look at it on the LCD screen instead of down at the hardware buttons.

That's pretty cool, but it must be a SYNC 3 glitch. I tried on my '15 w/MYTOUCH and couldn't get it to do that at all
OK, I experimented a bit more. What you do is simultaneously press both recirc and ac quickly twice, like double clicking a mouse. Brings the screen up every time, whether the AC is on or not.
Heres some pictures of what to press and what you end up with. All of the screen buttons work except dual temp control. AFAIK it's just the regular climate control screen for folks w that option installed.
I know it's a glitch, but I actually like that I can get to this now. I like having something neutral, but still useful, on the big led screen. Less distracting.
