I was just thinking that the battery may go dead sooner since it's not being used but if they are always sending/receiving a signal then I guess it's not as important. I was also thinking about wear on the FOB buttons as well, that way you don't have one completely worn out FOB and one brand new.

I thought MyKey was only set up if you set it up. Meaning both keys should be admin keys from the dealer unless you specifically program it to be a MyKey.

Just realized today I have a storage space along the outside of my F-150 center console.

How are you using it?

My 3D Maglite sits in the driver one. Nothing in the passenger side yet.

It really bothers me as I would have a Platinum but didn't need a super crew cab.

But at my age a flashlight might be better anyways.

I haven't set up the "MyKey" thing yet, so I don't think it's that. If I understand it right, the keys are "smart" keys? Do they "learn" the driving patterns and habits of the principal driver using them?

The differences were in performance, mainly, yes, shift pattern, I think - but mayhap I was imagining it. I'll have to try her key again, and see if I can pinpoint the difference.

It did cause me to stop and switch keys, though, so there must have been something ...
