I just discovered if you have auto high beams on you can temporarily disable them by tapping the stalk when they are on.

Does anybody alternate FOBs to reduce wear and tear and to keep the battery in use? I know some people can't since someone else in the family might have the secondary key but for those who don't, myself included, I started using the second FOB after three months.

I think they are always sending out a signal or listening for one. I bet they work like those store alarm things.
Other than the occasional panic alarm going off because of the one in my pants pocket mine don't get used as I use the keypad to open and lock my truck.

I used my wife's key fob the other da, as I was taking the truck in for service, and noticed a definite difference in performance. She hasn't driven the truck yet, and we haven't used that key at all. It got to the point where I actually stopped and switched keys, because I didn't like the way it was handling with her key.

Her key is probably the "My Key" with restrictive settings for a teenage driver. Reduces top speed, max volume for stereo, things like that.

Please tell us more about what you felt was different. Trans, pedals, steering?

Is hers a My Key?

Thanks much,

The hard part is getting your hand down behind the seat back to find the strap.
