Hints, Tips and Tricks
Does it bug anybody else that after you wash your truck that water drains out of the Ford emblem on the tailgate after it's been dried. Sounds trivial, but on a black truck with Houston high calcium water it leaves a constant stain running down the tailgate.
Thinking I will either run a very small bead of clear silicone caulk around it, or pop it off and caulk behind. I'm a little scared to pop it off, then it will most likely fall off the rest of it's life.

You could buy a small heated blower designed specifically for drying vehicles for about $170. I use one on all of my vehicles to get the majority of the water off, including those annoying nooks, crannies, and other troublesome areas where normally drying won't reach. I then get any residual water off with a clean microfiber towel. I have the nicest looking vehicles in the neighborhood??
I know this locks all 4 doors but am not certain about the rear tailgate.
This is a problem for locking the truck up while surfing.
Can you disable the Intelligent Access?
Also have to remember that if you leave the FOB in the truck and lock doors using the inside button, and walk away the doors don't lock. (the double beep thing also). Noticed that after several trips shopping, opps. But if you lock using the door outside key pad buttons you lock everything, and no beep beep my ars.
One more thing I found out today is that if you order the 18 inch LT (light truck) tires you get Wrangler's Adventure with Kevlar tires that are rated for deep snow (with logo on tire). Particularly handy where I live as this is mandatory between December and March. Saved me the purchase of winter tires.
Not trying to be a Weisenheimer here...but I'm genuinely curious what benefit/use the keypad on the door is over using my key fob to lock/unlock my vehicle.
I've never had an external keypad on my door and have no experience using one. No doubt I'm overlooking conveniences of which I'm unaware.
Thanks for any 411.
