You wouldn't want to sleep on the seat backs. They would be lumpy even if the seat back latches were not in the way. It would not be at floor level either. The backs fold over the seat bottoms.

The seat bottoms fold up and provide a flat floor if you wish to sleep there or just on the bench seat itself.

Thanks guys, was day dreaming about an air mattress in the back, on top of the backrest and pourring rain outside and seeing my buddy in his tent just soaked lol. Maybe the flat floor will still do. My current 2004 screw has a smaller area and a hump as well so I could never.

I think you will still be good. With the seat bottoms folded up and with no hump in the floor there is a lot of room and you should be comfortable unless you are real tall. You could always do a flip bed cover or something like that also.

You all just made me think of something talking about sleeping in the truck. What if you want the doors locked while you are in there? If you have the keyfob in the truck that means anyone can walk up and pull on the door handle and it will unlock. Correct?

Two things I've found that may/may not be in the owner’s manual:

1. If the truck is off and you just push the start button (not the brake pedal) you go into full accessory mode.

2. While driving, if you get a few water drops on the windshield you can push the round button for the windshield washer fluid very quickly and the windshield wipers will only cycle one time without any fluid being dispensed. Keeps you from having to turn the dial, wait, and then turn it back off.

I am interested in the answer to this as well. Never really thought about it like that but there are a ton of scenarios when you lock your doors and are inside. I mean could a car jacker just come up and open the door at will ?

And what does that do to the auto-lock function when you're driving. Would defeat the purpose if you stopped for a red light and someone could walk up and open the door anyway.

I don't have that feature so I'm not worried about it, but it does make me curious.

OK, I have the smart key and with the truck off you can lock the doors, you can probably do it even with the power on, just never tried it. Remember there is a key pad on the doors so guess that is why you can do that with the smart key system.

I know on the 13 model that was not smart key I could lock it up with the keys inside the truck. I did this when I would go fishing and use the key pad to unlock the doors. I would think for 15 the non-smart key trucks would be the same if equipped with door key pads.

Yea... I guess if someone wants to try to stay in your truck with it off and you lock it from the inside with the keyfob inside with you. Have someone on the outside try to open the door.

I can't try right now. I am out floating on an 839 foot ship in the GOM right now. LOL

The truck knows the proximity of the key FOB. If it is inside the vehicle, either locked inside with the truck off or locked inside with the truck on, the door will not unlock by just pulling the outside handle. Someone would either need to enter the code in the keypad or have another fob outside the truck.
