Not wanting to get the food smell in my new truck, I told here we could just put it in the back. I double clicked on the fob to open the tail gate, when the car next to me started up and began to back out of the parking spot. Since the tail gate has a dampened open feature, it didn't just drop but begun to open slowly. The gut backed out rather close, and just barley missed backing into my tail gate, or the tail gate hitting his car.

So if your parked in lot, etc, look first and make sure someone isn't backing out, coming around a corner etc. and suddenly they have about 3' less space because your tailgate came down (not to mention the other things that it could drop into). - BTW does anyone know when the dampened tailgate begin? Or is 2019 the first year?
My 2016 comes down slow.

Also, be wary of anything that might have dropped onto your bumper or was left there. Acorns, sticks from a tree, soda/beer cans, etc...

I live in a neighborhood with oak trees everywhere, always branches and acorns everywhere. I also have a habit of setting cans on the rear bumper. If you cant see the bumper when you open the tailgate then... whoops. There isn't much of a gap between the top of the bumper and the tailgate when it is open.

A couple of other nice surprises that I've noticed are as follows - these are on the 8" display in the instrument cluster and may or may not apply to the 4" displays:

When setting the cruise control, the truck shows you the set speed, such as 65.

When you have the navigation screens displayed in the instrument cluster, the display will also show you the speed limit for the road you are on.

Nice touches, these!
This Key Fob holder is also where you can put the key if the battery in the FOB goes dead to start your truck.

Hit the 7/8 and 9/0 at the same time to lock the doors even with the key inside.

is there a way besides not carrying your key, to disable the horn from honking if walking outside the vehicle while it is running ? most annoying feature ever.

No setting for it in any of the trucks settings but it can easily be done with Forscan.

Yeah, I disabled mine via Forscan. The single best mod I've done to my truck.
