Hellcat Ram?
I wouldn't shoot the idea down. It's obviously a potential release as Ram has put it on their website http://m.ramtrucks.com/en/limited-ed...500/rebel-trx/
People can trash talk Ram all day, but reality is they tend to give more features on lower end models than their competition and offer more innovative designs. I.E. Ram has used aluminum hoods well before Ford used an entire aluminum body, they are still the only truck to offer air suspension, they released the Diesel engine in the 1500 series whereas Ford is still pending, their rear suspension hasn't had leaf springs in the 1500's in almost a decade, their base model sound system out performs even Ford's Sony system, they tend to have a better towing capacity, and they offered LED tail lights in 2013. Not saying they're the best, but I've had two of the newer body style Ram's and would buy another one in a heartbeat whereas it would take some convincing for me to buy another F150.

This is Ram's last ditch effort to try to attract attention to the stagnant and dated 4th gen Ram platform that is going into it's 8th year without a redesign. It's old, it's tired, redesign it already.
Didn't they already take a stab at the Raptor with the Ram Runner a few years ago?

The video showed the undercarriage at work. The parts all looked "standard duty" to me (hard to tell). In order to sustain the punishment of off road at that speed, significant engineering has to be done to pretty much everything. The Raptor has years of production and customer use. I wouldn't bet against it.
FCA has been doing some cool stuff with their vehicles and the hellcat motor. The problem is...it says a lot when you have all that horsepower but are incapable of using it. None of their hellcat products are well-designed. They just took their current models and put a bigger engine in it without taking things like handling into consideration.
I was seriously disappointed when I saw that 707 hp only yields 0-60 times in the high 3's in the Challenger. Vehicles with far less power produce quicker times and handle better...and they have interiors that don't look like cheap plastic sh**.

Yes, and it's arguable that the GT350 is a far superior vehicle in almost every way...aside from HP.
It just shows that FCA's Hellcat strategy simply works to sell but it's not gaining them a whole lot of respect with real enthusiasts.

It's hard enough for me to keep my foot out of my 3.5L TT.
