Default Heated Steering Wheel Switch?

My wheel heats up on remote starts but doesn't when using the heated mirror switch. Did I miss something in the manual about how to turn it on. Everything else seems to work well. 2017 KR

There's a switch for it on the home screen and another one on the climate controlled screen. It looks like a steering wheel. There is no physical button.

Only on home screen if enabled with forscan.

Don't need FORScan, the icon is there with latest Sync version.

Huh. Learned something new. Our 17 edge has them on the home as well from factory. Nothing like consistancy with Ford builds.

The icon is on the home screen, yes, but on my '18 when I touch it it sends me to the climate control screen and then there I can acitvate or deactivate the steering heater.
Are you saying that on the '19s (I'm assuming yours are '19s) if you touch the same icon on the home screen it will activate/deactivate without sending you to the climate screen?

^^ Is this last move what Forscan enables?

Mine's an 18 and it's on home screen. It appeared there after last Sync update. I just turn it on and off there, doesn't send me anywhere else.

Thanks for the reply , I've just learned something here again!
Mine being a late '17 build doesn't work that way, I have to do the 2 steps. I guess there's a new sync update, but since mine has no issues, I'll just keep on being a "sworn member" of the "IF AIN'T BROKEN DON'T TOUCH IT" club.

Lived with Windows auto-updates for far too long, to let two finger pressings to ruin my day LOL!

YES, it is ON THE HOME SCREEN. But can you also activate/deactivate the steering heater by just touching the icon without that touch sending you to the climate controls screen? That's what happens to me on an early '18 sync (Nov '17 build truck).

I will live with the two touch step method since it doesn't annoy me that much and I prefer that to renounce an issue free version of Sync3 to get a possibly buggy one that doesn't seem to add any other extra features, as far as I know.

If Forscan enables that then, I'd prefer to gain the courage to brave into the Forscan Multiverse and do some of the cool mods it allows.
But that's an ongoing battle between my left shoulder "Very-satisfied as is truck conscience" and the right shoulder "RIIIIIGHT, let's amplify that fun conscience"
