Default Going for it

I been telling myself I am not getting rid of my 2010 f150 for a long time now I just leveled it and put a cap on it has just 37000 miles but I can't resist the new 150 ordering tomorrow but going all out this time with a lariat and 501 a package with nav and tow package built with Eco boost 3.5 but went to test drive and took the 5.0 and I just can't bring myself to getting the 3.5 that v8 took off like a rocket ship and responded and sounded so god damm good. I bleed ford blue and know the Eco boost is the future but I am a truck guy and it should sound like a truck. U want mpg get a car. Any want to buy a 2010 f150

Check out the 502a package. The LED headlights are amazing.

I'd give rocket ship speed status to the 3.5 EB.

Many will argue the 5.0 sounds better.

Perhaps "low speed torque kick" status to the EB. Rocket ship status more to the screaming 5.0 IMO. It's just that rockets, well, just don't have instant torque
:-). Yes, I've driven both also.

Remember, small engines were the "future" in the 1980's also. Not so much in the following decades, perhaps we are on another cycle. Just get what you like - while you still can!!

Welcome to the club!!

Really hard to read the run on sentence.

From what I gathered, you ordered a 3.5L but drove a 5.0L and decided to go 5.0L afterwards because it was a "rocketship" and because it sounded awesome.

Have you driven one with the 3.5L?

Sound aside, the 3.5L has the 5.0L beat hands down in respect to HP and TQ. My butt-ometer has the 3.5L as a clear winner between the two.

You should really consider the 502A if you're already getting the Navi on your 501A so you can also get the LED lights. Not that much more of a jump money wise... Unless you're going 501A because you want bench seats up front.

If you're going all out might as well go with the 502A pkg.

Not quite true, Torque yes (5.0L=387 ft-lbs, 3.5L = 420ft-lbs), HP no ( 5.0L= 385 hp, 3.5L= 365hp).

Yes I pre built got price and tomorrow I will order and it will the 5.0. I currently have the 5.4. And yes my good friend has 3.5 Eco and I do want but 2 mpg and a little more torque is not. Worth the extra $ and the 502 I think is like 6000 plus and I got 501 with nav and rear option and bucket seats with center console was like 3500

Do yourself a favor and get the 502A package. You are not doing the math right-LOL.. The LED headlights aftermarket are at least $1650 from vendors on here. Plus you get a $750 discount with the 502A package and you get heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, and SONY radio.

I wanted the LED headlights on my Lariat, but wanted the 2.7 and 40-2040 seats so the 501A was the best I could get. I will have to add the LED's myself.

Congrats.
