most dealers dont know alot of programming, and if they do they will charge you an hour or programming at (at least) 120 bucks. So do it yourself

Nope, wont void anything. Most dealers wont notice. They havent noticed my auto fold and tons of other changes Ive made to mine.

No support from Ford for this. It's not a programmable parameter on IDS.

Default Speedometer correction

Hi: I just tried Forscan today to correct the speedo on a 2017 F150 with bigger tires. It does fix the speedo, but the PCM sets a code for invalid data received from the BCM and illuminates the wrench lamp in the cluster. The tire size needs to be corrected to match in the PCM, but the function has been dropped (at least for this model) on Ford's IDS.

I spent my afternoon scavenging multiple forums for every bit of info on APA.

I converted a 2015 from MFT to Sync 3 and was able to get everything working. I added perpendicular and parallel park (for testing)..

With that in mind,
Park out still kept going into an error. I never had that issue on my 2016 because I think the PAM had different firmware. There seems to be a few basic differences between the PAM on this 15 and my old 16. The truck I was woking on was being fussy.

Livnitup,

you might want to try this to enable park out on your truck. I only found this after finishing my testing this afternoon and I rarely sit in trucks with APA.

APA stands for Active Park Assist.

// APIM:
7D0-02-02: x5xx xxxx xx
(enables front & rear pictogram)

7D0-04-02: xxx7 xx
(adds all digital buttons to sync 3 APA screen, though some toggles remain greyed out (see PAM 736-04-01))

// PAM:
736-01-01: 1C88 0509
(xxxx 0xxx = led on APA button on Ford Fusion)
(xxxx x5xx = APA physical switch type)
(unknown data

736-02-01: 0001 0E00
(unknown data)

736-03-01: 0000 4300
(unknown data)

736-04-01: 0740 2000
(x7xx xxxx = all toggles on APIM APA selection are present)
(unknown data)

736-05-01: 3001 3000
(unknown data)

I wasn't surprised where I found this info, but I am surprised it didn't come from DanMc85. It's good to see other people on the internet are picking this up.

What were you looking to do?

I have some park assist information in this popular thread I have on 2GF: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread....99434#pid99434

Me and Livinitup already have the entire PAM mapped out and we know what every single bit is.

I have already rewritten the entire PAM as-built for Livinitup... his sensor issues are more related to the PAM 14C647 firmware file and IPC firmware for lack of some park assist chimes.

This is a general overview (there is a little more in a few of these lines than just this stuff, but this is the main stuff of concern):
736-01-01: Body Style, Number of Sensors, Transmission Type, Fuel Type, Trailer Package Present, Switches Available, LED Switches Available, Display Type
736-02-01: Vehicle Brand, Region, Vehicle Type/Model, Drive Type: FWD, RWD, etc.
736-03-01: UPA Features: Flank Guard, Front Park Aid, Rear Park Aid, Wheel Sensors, APIM Style (Sync Basic,2,3).
736-04-01: APA Features: Park Out Assist, Perpendicular Assist, Parallel Assist, Slot Measurement Improvements, GGCC Measurements from Calibration or Own Estimation
736-05-01: Everything to do with Park Assist Chimes and slot finishing when parking

Quick question, does anybody know if you can use Forscan to have the bed lights turn on when the tailgate opens? Alternatively, the bed lights to work like the top light on the cab where it turns on & off on its own?

^^ Something similar to this should be posted in practically every thread. Perhaps there would be a few folks that might get the hint.

Just throw in my many Thanks, again, as well.

Don't forget about DanMc85 either, he's given us lots of finds and helped me out behind the scenes constantly with projects/experiments and we owe him plenty

Yes thanks for more than just giving accurate information in this thread but for being patient with people who don't know how to "Search this Thread" This is about the only thread where I haven't seen "This has been asked and answered many times, do a search". Why do people post such things with no links? Are they trying to prove they are superior/smarter/alpha?(NOT) Like it is illegal to ask a question that may have already been answered? I hold back my reply to them. "Idiots like you have said this many times, do a search to find people like yourself!"
