Can anyone post or pm me a license code for the MXBT? I want to install the OBDwiz software to read codes from my wife's Murano but just read that "Your license key is located on an insert included inside the OBDLink retail box" and I threw that away when I bought the adapter. Thanks!

Edit: never mind, I see they have a free app that should do the trick

Thanks everyone for the great tips, major thanks to Livnitup for the great tutorial you made, I did my first FORscan mod on my 2018 XLT and removed the hyperflash caused by installing the new OEM LED tail lights! I was so nervous doing it for the first time I thought I was about to faint when I went about pressing the WRITE button

Can someone give me some addition input on the DRL changes for the 2018 502A models? I have an '18 Lariat with 502A. When the lights are in 'Auto' mode the DRL's are very bright, but I can't have my fog lights on at the same time. When the lights are in 'parking light' mode the DRL is not as bright, but I CAN have my fog lights on at the same time. I'm trying to get my DRL's to stay on the brightest setting while my fog lights are on at the same time. Any help is appreciated.

Hello all... First message from me on the forum. I plan on using FORSCAN for a number of the previously mentioned mods within the next week when my adapter comes in, but I have a question that maybe someone can answer. I own a 2016 Lariat and recently replaced the factory mirrors with OEM tow mirrors that are not equipped with BLIS. I don't care much for BLIS, especially with the extended view range these tow mirrors provide, but I received a cross traffic alert error code as well that has not gone away. I turned off the cross traffic alert function on the dash display, and I planned on using FORSCAN to disable the cross traffic alert, so that this code would no longer annoy me, but I do like the cross traffic alert feature and am curious is there is anything I can do to retain it even though my mirrors are not BLIS equipped. I did not know the two indicators (BLIS and cross traffic alert) were interconnected and am genuinely confused about the whole thing.

As far as I know, the only thing your old mirrors had is the indicator to show something is in your blind spot.
After reading up on both, I'm sure the error your seeing is because the indicators are missing in the mirrors. But the ace, Livnitup in the next message has your fix.

Once you get your adapter you can turn off the BLIS part while retaining CTA. You'll need a change in SODL/SODR and in DDM/PDM to disable the BLIS. If you need help doing this when your adapter arrives then send me a pm with your VIN # and I'll help you out.

Wow... With quick responses like that I can see why this post has grown to 1550 pages. Thanks for all the great information Livnitup. You've inspired me to get into all of this stuff myself from the stuff I've read that you previously posted on here. I plan to do some straightforward mods like the remote auto window and such. Then I'll move on to attempting the BLIS disable with Cross Traffic Alert retention. You da man!

Im going to try adding the tailgate release and tailgate ajar switches this weekend. I will post any updates. Also, I will be around the Vancouver / Coquitlam area most of next week if anyone needs a hand with ForScan stuff or Sync 3.
