I have been keeping this in for too long. I have had my 2015 F150 Lariat since May. I have had the truck in the dealer for 2 months out of 7 months of ownership with all the issues we have had. My issues are from both Ford and also the dealer. I have been so unhappy with Bill Brown Ford in Livonia MI. They have damaged and broken everything they have touched. I could go on for days about this situation. The purchase from them was hell. They took my money for a deposit and threw me aside. It took 3 months for it to be made (parts back ordered understandable). We sold our other car because the dealer said the truck would be in. At one point I called in to speak to the salesmen and was told "Matt calling at 4:30 on a Friday is not a good time to talk". He didn't call me back until Tuesday. Keep in mind I am very easy going and understand salesmens time. I am in a commission sales position as well. Ford did provide a rental and it was a good resolution.
First issues after delivery was small with some wavy rubber on the passenger side air bag little tray and the sunroof being not aligned from the factory. These issues took a week to fix and the dealer never fixed the plastic tray rubber..
Second:
Adaptive cruise control.... Hell it took me and the dealer to threaten send a letter to the highway safety commission. I was told after the fix that I was the first person to get the update. I had two they tried before it got fixed. I said, "What is this going to take? My wife and kid to die to fix it?" They told the dealer to go chase vehicles in traffic.... Many miles were put on my vehicle in that time. Vehicle was in the dealer for about two weeks. They had to detail the truck from all the grease on the paint and interior. At this time I realized they scratched the cluster plastic. It drives me crazy to this day but I didn't see it when I picked it up.
Third visit:
Recall for adaptive cruise make sure right programming. AC seat TSB, wiper cowel rubber tray and sunroof rattle. After a week we were called I went to pick up and they said all things are fixed except sunroof it's working as normal. I am have the same issues as everyone... Looking over the truck they replaced the blower motors in the seats even after I said they have a TSB. They didn't do the TSB. They confirmed the recall. Didn't fix anything else. I left the vehicle to have the other issues fixed. After another week I didn't hear from they and I drove to the dealer to see what the hold up was. To my surprise my truck is being driven out the door of the dealer. I am thinking wow great timing...No I see my truck going out on the main road? They had nothing requiring road test? I went in irate and spoke with the manager he said oh ya we have been driving it all week trying to fix your sunroof rattle. They said they couldn't fix it was normal and bring it back in the summer after the first week it was in(It doesn't open or close in heat randomly). After realizing they put 20 miles on the truck. I said "Your techs take my truck to lunch?" I was told no.. He called the tech and guess where he was... I was also told by the manager "It's just a F150" I said "Yes it is put its mine not yours to take to lunch". So after another week the only thing they fix was the cowel and they scratched the underside on the panel and pinched the hose. It had to go back again. After taking it home I find the broke the bumper airdam.
I then took the time to call Customer Care at Ford. I went threw all the issue I was having and they said well we have a complaint.. CAS8324550. I asked if someone will be contacting me and was told no.... Nice resolution Ford.
The dealer had many issues with fixing the bumper and wiper cowel with forgetting to install wipers and other details.
I would really love to speak with someone from Ford on this issue. I am sure I am missing some things. I have already blasted all of the major review websites for the dealer. This was not my first Ford purchase and I am young in my vehicle purchasing life. My truck was $61,000 and I feel like I need was taken advantage of.
Wow...probably be best to go to another dealer until you find one that actually gets the work done right. Thats really bad, I'm looking to purchase a new 2015/16 in the coming months hopefully I can find a good dealership, which from sounds of things on these forums it takes some searching to find one. Because it seems no matter the dealership/brand there will always be a hit and miss in terms of service.
I would hope you can get all that fixed, I would also think you would be entitled an extended warranty for all the unknown damages and who knows what else. Either that or a swap on the truck for one that is fully functional. Most of the problems people have are at the dealership level and communication to ford I would think.
Not fixing the seats or adaptive cruise control could be serious if the seats get too hot or the truck nearly causes an accident. Not fixing it is like someone selling a house and not putting enough supports in but telling them they can have a party and move heavy furniture in.
Hopefully one of the ford reps can help, its a great truck, but all the added features seems to be problematic, I've been debating between a lariat or xlt, but the more I read in these forums makes me think I'd be best to settle with an xlt.
Have you tried other dealers? Maybe check some reviews to see if another dealer would be of better assistance.
Wow!! What a difference in experiences we have had with the same dealer. I have been happy with the service I have received. But maybe because my problems weren't as hard to fix as yours. Funny that we both were the first ones they did the ACC recall and seat cooling TSB on. And mine came out OK.
I didn't have to leave a deposit when I ordered mine in early March.
Ha the seats barely heat up. I have contacted other dealers and they will offer service. But I cannot be without a vehicle for weeks at a time and they can't help with vehicles unless I purchase a extended Ford service contract....
I would get less of the tech items or creature comfort items if you can. Or I hate to say it but check out the Chevys. I love Ford truck and the styling, but they have so many issues and Ford has yet to fix many after a year on the streets.

Seats not heating up or cooling right isn't Bill Browns fault it's Ford's poor designing of them. Now them ordering the old parts when I had even handed them a copy of the TSB was dumb on their part.
Were you having problems with the ACC before the recall? I wasn't and was more worried they would screw it up, but other than having to take it right back for a few minutes for them to clear the engine check light it's still working perfectly.
Are the other companies any better? I have no idea being a Ford worker for 32 years I have always bought Fords if buying new. True this truck has been back to the dealer more times than all the others added together but dam this one has a lot of stuff to go wrong in it..
They did screw around with the tailgate step three trips before I made them replace the step. And rather then just replacing the right front tire pressures sender that keeps going off line on the highway they have recalibrate it and then rotated the tires, then told me it's my iPad in the truck causing the problem.. Taking it in after the holidays to make them replace it.
Keep in mind a lot of the BS we all get from the dealer is caused by the way Ford Motor Co. Makes them jump through hoops to get approval to do a warranty repair and then get paid for doing it.

However, I'm just crusing along in my XLT without all those fancy bells and whistles to break and 20k more in my pocket! Seriously though, I did highly consider all of those goodies were that much more to break on my initial truck hunt.

I like chevy's new design for the 16' but don't like the interior styling, also not the same as the ecoboost/driving fun factor. RAM is actually a closer second choice except the exterior front I don't like.
I found a really good deal on an f150 with all the things I want, but would be borderline budget wise. I would rather start with a spare 10k on top of 10kdown payment rather then only 2k sitting aside and have some emergency. But I think reading these forums has convinced me to wait til some of these bugs get worked out. I would wait for a 17' model if issues were worked out, but I'm betting the 10speed will only add to the problems.
As this is most likely my last truck, as my 2002 was supposed to have been if the body hadn't rust away. I wanted to go out with all the bells and whistles.. And I'm enjoying them as most are working fine and very helpful to have. But gee I do worry everytime I drive it what strange new problem I have read about is going to pop it head...
Had a very similar experience with my dealer. 7 hrs to repair a seat belt tensioner. Told me it was "hard to get to." Delivered to me totally non functional. Fixed it the second time in 20 minutes. Scratched the rear quarter panel in the process. Didn't check seat TSBs I brought it in for. Back in to fix paint and TSBs. Only did one seat cooler when promised they would fix both. Told me they fixed both. Invoice said otherwise. In again to fix that. Told my story of woe to the regional rep. Now my truck has 5 yr, 75k premium care bumper to bumper warranty with road assist and 30/day rental coverage.
