Add this to the list

This is My favorite part of the recall inspection instructions

"A loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash"

Ford's Lawyers will probably want all of Us to get inspected , just to protect Ford.
This was probably the result of Rosie the Riveter having a hangover

Thanks for posting the test procedures. I just checked and mine are also fine. I will let the dealer do the check, but now I can do it by my schedule knowing I will not have a issue.

Just checked mine as well, all is good. Nice to know as my dealer is a 250 mile drive, now I can breath easy. Thank you all for the info.

You might want to check with your insurance to see if they require you to get a certified inspection for recalls like this. I had a friend who had a similar issue with her car and when she had an accident caused by the steering system her insurance gave her trouble because she never had a recall issue checked by a dealership. It almost cost her the loss of insurance coverage, including medical, for the incident.

Oh I agree. Have to pay close attention to where the truck is heading or it's in the ditch or across the center line. At least I'm getting my money's worth out of the lane departure system.

I've never had a vehicle with electric steering before and thought this kind of steering input just might be part of the deal. I'm waiting for a service appointment but based on previous experience I'm afraid I'm going to hear it's "normal".

Oh I thought you meant hard to steer- if it kinda wants to wander mines same way. big diff from the chevy i had before, i couldn't stand the steering felt like the pump wasn't working and it had been replaced at one point too. Night and day diff to the ford
