According to ford owner I'm on the list, called the dealer and they said they won't have parts until the 18th, goes in on the 18th at 0700. Hope whatever prompted the recall doesn't break before the 18th. Going to have them fix my drivers seat leather at the same time. Looks awful it's so loose that you can pull a few inches away from the seat and still have leather in your grasp.
Looks like I am clear of any recalls, but still can't figure out what day mine was built.
My window sticker does not have the blend # on top.
Are there any other ways to find out?
Use the wwwqa.cotus.ford.com to determine your rough build date.
You can then look at your sticker like the sample here around the blend which gives the build date backwards.
Build date is: 03/25/2015 or 20150325
dtibbals: My guess is that "dealer lots" is a bit skewed for instance my truck shows that it is dealer inventory. It has been built but it is sitting on ramp 59 so my guess is Ford caught wind of this potential issue back in March sometime and pushed all the "suspect vehicles" out to the ramps to sit until they researched the issue.
It is the only thing that explains the amount of people that have not taken delivery due to delay and could explain a why cotus was doing weird things as well.
I am not sure how the Ford distribution works but I would imagine that Ford has to pay the dealers to fix recalls and ship the parts? The decision makes logical sense.
Regardless of the reason kudos to Ford for catching it an fixing it.
Someone should probably sticky this thread.

Mine was one of the ones delivered. I am supposed to take it in Friday to see if the shaft needs replacement.
Have to drive a few hours out of town tomorrow. Makes me feel nice and comfortable about it now! Oh well, maybe they can find the wind noise while they are at it.
I guarantee it will take three trips to get those two issues fixed given my dealer and luck.
