Just got off the phone with Ford (they called me). I am scheduled to take my truck in on Friday morning.

I know mine was built at the Kansas City plant based on the sticker on the windshield - but how do you locate the built date? is it on the window sticker?

Well, LSchicago, tanks for nuttin'!

I checked the recall site and YEP, mine's one of them

Mine's spending its second day at the dealer trying to determine the source of intermittent electronic static coming from the right front speaker. They've found a bunch of loose wires between the door and body and are splicing and re-connecting hoping that's the source, otherwise, .... they're gonna take apart the dash and pull the head unit

as long as it's there, I gave 'em a call and informed them my truck had been recalled. He found the notice (Field Service Action Number: 15S17) and wasn't sure if they could fix it or not. He said since it's a brand new recall, sometimes they have to wait for parts from Ford. I said I really enjoyed being able to steer the truck while I'm driving!

We'll see .......

Btw, I still love this truck!

Yes and no. The blend number has a date hidden in it, and I believe that the vehicle is usually built 24-48 hours after that date. Mine is 220150318 or 2 2015 03 18 which is March 18 2015. My truck was actually built on the 20th I believe.

well that figures, my window sticker doesn't have a blend number on it..
check the link provided for the location of it and the top of my sticker is the blue border of the truck details..

Yep - on the recall list - Anybody know when the bulletin was issued? This most likely explains the extra month my truck sat in Dearborn waiting to be shipped. I was a 3/30 build if anyone is interested. I would assume anything still at the plant will be pulled and remedied before shipment instead of shipping and making dealers handle it - but maybe not. I'll be sure to bring this up when I finally take delivery.

Thanks for the information! It's be quite helpful.

Odd. You can get your full window sticker from this link, just put your vin on the end after the = sign (no space): http://wwwqa.cotus.ford.com/services...owSticker?vin=

The bulletin was issued today, 5/12 it looks like. One user said it wasn't up earlier today, but appears to be now.

My truck was build on 3/26 and has been sitting on ramp 59 since it was finished. The recall does explain the extra month(s).

I would like to point out that when I run the recall search on the website it does NOT always show the recall. If your vehicle was built during that time you might want to refresh and run it a couple different times just to make sure.

figured it out, thanks for all the help Kenn213 - truck was built 3/07 - two weeks before the recall affected dates.
