I have that sub and its good for what it is. I got it refurbished on Amazon for the half the price. Looked brand new to me and had the hardware. Has worked fine for 5 months now.

Now, could the amp draw somewhere between 20A and 30A under normal usage and still blow the fuse in your truck? It's certainly a possibility, but I wouldn't worry about that at this point. What concerns me right now is that you're blowing the fuse in your truck's fuse box, so I'd start troubleshooting connections/wiring to make sure there isn't a short somewhere.
I took it down to minimum wires this time. I went positive on the WPT-1212 to the B+ port on the PS-8 harness, and Ground to Ground on both. Tested with a voltmeter which gave me -12V for some reason (is this a setting on my voltmeter somewhere or could this be the problem?). Plugged it into the amp and instantly popped the 20A fuse. WTF?

Well, I just found this about 70 pages back. Looks like I've been connecting it backward the whole time.

Top left black is positive. Orange red on the factory side

Top far right is ground or negative. Black violet on the factory side.

Bottom left is remote turn on. Brown on factory side.

Bottom 2nd to left is line level + violet on the factory side

Bottom 3rd to the right is line level - green on factory side

All other wires are not used. Tape them off.
I was going based on some kind of pencil drawing I saw somewhere in this thread. Why the hell wouldn't Ford include this info with the harness?!

Hello all. Trying to read through all 85 pages and just wanted to check to see if I was missing something. I picked up a JBL 8" similar to the hideaway. I have a 2018 XLT with the 302a package. Do I still need the WPT1212 harness or is it a different part for the 18? Is the connection in the same place as previous years? Thanks.

I can't quite personally confirm yet, my parts are on the way, but others say it is the WPT1212, and yes, you'll need one. And I've located my connector in the driver's side C pillar, so that's the same.

I have an 18. It's the same part, WPT1212. You'll also need a speaker wire to rca cable or high level inputs on your amp. You only need the mono rca.

Saw one report that there was no power to the connector in the C Pillar in an 18, is it safe to assume yours did have power (once turned on in ForScan)?
