Factory sub
I ordered the PS-8 and a WRT-1212 for my 2018 302a with nav. I should have everything by the weekend and look forward to giving it a try with the information in this thread - its a beast of a thread to find the nuggests you need, but thank you in advance, I'll post up my results.
Thanks... I've tried every permutation of FORScan settings, and just retried those - no joy. I think I have to use line level inputs instead of high level. Should have what I need today and maybe that will fix my woes.
Appreciate your thoughtfulness, though! Thanks again!

Anyone have an kicker hideaway problems? I bought a refurbished one on amazon and I can't get it to work. I did all the for scan things.
Im not getting any sound out of the kicker sub. I have changed all my values in for scan in the ACM. The kicker blue light will come on but I am not getting any sound at all. Im thinking maybe its a wiring problem?
Ive got top left to red
top right to black
bottom left to blue
2nd to bottom let to both gray wires from kicker
3rd to bottom left to both white wires from kicker
Any thoughts

when you tap into the speakers do you use both Driverside and passenger side speakers or just one side. I’m going through this install in a few days. I have a 2016 xl.

Here's the WPT1212 arrangement for reference (it should probably read 2nd from the left and 3rd from the left for better clarity):
"with the 1212 harness facing away and wires facing toward you it's this...top is where the clip is that secures it to the harness.
Top left black is positive. Orange red on the factory side
Top far right is ground or negative. Black violet on the factory side.
Bottom left is remote turn on. Brown on factory side.
Bottom 2nd to left is line level + violet on the factory side
Bottom 3rd to the right is line level - green on factory side
All other wires are not used. Tape them off."
Couldn't find an answer to this, although I've seen mention of it. Has anyone determined if the WPT1212's audio output is line level or speaker level? Nhammer, I know you said your Hideaway didn't work on low level input, but I'm trying to figure out why this may be. The only thing I can think is that the WPT1212's output voltage might exceed the low level input range on the hideaway or something. That being said, I would think the WPT1212 should output line level audio since that connector is there to connect to a factory amp - it wouldn't make sense for them to connect speaker level amplified power to another amplifier's input. Has anyone tried to measure voltage on the WPT1212 audio?
I have the Rockford P-300 10" powered subwoofer. Mine works on either low or high input selection but was noticeably louder when switched to low input. I have the Forscan settings for Aux speaker instead of sub because the amp has its own crossover and I believe that when the ACM is set for sub it also pulls some lows from the front and rear speakers. For me this left a noticeable issue with the sound quality. Once I switched to aux speaker instead of sub the lows returned to the other speakers and the sub hit better as well. I also left the second Forscan setting alone. I tried the 7 speaker Crew w/kicker selection but found there was a boost to the highs and mids but a decrease in bass level even to the sub. I believe the output with my current selections (aux speaker, and as built) is a low level but I have heard others say that if you use a different speaker configuration setting ( ie 7 speaker Crew w/kicker) it may change from low to high or vice versa. It would be good if someone tested to confirm which settings yield what type of output for factual info. I can only share what is working wonderfully for me. The music is loud and crisp and the bass rattles the mirrors.

I have yet to see it in prose that states in words that it is line level, but I've seen a schematic, and on the "truck" side of the WPT, it shows that the audio wires are shielded... and usually the audio mfrs. only shield line level, not speaker level. So from that clue, and from the fact that myself and many others have success using line level (RCA) inputs (and I failed to get sound using speaker level) I'd say we've made a pretty good case for saying it is line level. Oh, I forgot to mention. I've put an AC voltmeter on it. Less than 4vac (+/-2vac referenced to zero). Speaker level would be several times that.
