Does anyone have the installation instructions for vgl3z-18808-a they could send to me. I am trying to figure out if I can install this myself.

This should help you @nhammer - http://content.etilize.com/User-Manual/1035059200.pdf

I installed over the weekend, and took to a local dealer today to get the radio flashed so it works. No instructions came with it, but pretty easy - and there are a lot of great tips in this thread.

Correct, there was power in my harness connector. I checked everything with a multimeter after turning it on with forscan before I ordered anything else. I have the 302a PKG and the radio with nav.

I think I have deduced from watching comments closely that non-302a has no power in that connector, 302a does (2018's).

I’ll let you know Saturday if my 2018 302a has power.

Based on what I've read, I believe if you have the #22 Fuse (should be 20A) installed in your under hood fuse box, then you have a powered connector. If there is no fuse in that spot, there are most likely no contacts to install one. I don't think there is a definitive answer on this, so I could be wrong! The other confusing thing is that I've read of people having power at that plug, but no audio output...

Can anyone confirm if the 2018 Lariats (non-B&O) have this connector?

I would prefer not to use quick splice taps on the speaker wires.. but it looks like there is no other option.

I believe that is because the audio output must be "switched" on with ForScan.

I mentioned this somewhere before. BUT here it is again. I have a "canadian (technically deerborne) 2018 XLT 302A I also have fuse 22 and ....I did NOT have power to the harness. Only remote and signal (+&-). Therefore I just ran my own power. I also went through twice with a meter.

Well, I did install today. The only audible sound I get is a very slight "power on" thump from the speaker. Everyone seemed to say the audio inputs were "high" inputs, not line inputs, so I used those inputs on my amp. I'll get the proper plugs and try again as line level (my amp has both kinds). I think that's going to make it work.

While I was at it, I tried both "stock" setting with subs turned on, and then tried 7 speaker (which I have). Couldn't tell the difference, maybe it will matter when I get the subwoofer actually putting out.

I'll post up when I get the line level inputs connected.
