According to an earlier post, all trucks come pre-wired and pre-drilled for the Kicker option. I installed it on my Lariat 501a and can confirm for certain.

 

These may be dumb questions, but mine is a XLT crew cab with 302a package. Sounds like Ill have the harness from prior posts. The picture in that kicker kit looks like it comes with a harness. It is literally plug and play for the amp and sub it comes with? No wiring for power or anything?

And is the only difference between the 7 speaker and the 6 speaker system on my crew the center speaker up on the top of the dash above the radio? I just want to make sure that means I have the 7 speaker system.

How do I get Forscan to change the settings?

Yes the kicker kit is plug n play. I just enabled the sub but didn't change the speaker settings.

Thank you for your help in understanding this more guys! But what all speakers are physically counted (location)when deciding how many speakers you have? Can someone with a crew cab XLT 302A Sync 3 with Nav let me know what speakers they all have and what selection they made with forscan when setting it for the Ford drop in kicker sub?

Also, Im guessing the Ford dealer can activate these settings too correct? I do not have Forscan and dont really have any use for it other than changing these settings once I get the sub. That or if someone in central Illinois with Forscan is willing to meet up to change that setting, I would travel to them.

what cab and how many speakers do you have before u install the woofer -

my previous post i said my truck had 5 speakers but all 301a come with 6 i forgot to count the speakers on the A pillars. so after adding the woofer i chose 7 speaker scab with kicker. and enabled the woofer.

edit if you have a center speaker on the dash that makes 7. i'm still learning how to count

 

supercab 7 speaker non sony 8" touch screen. In some previous posts some said aux sub and some said kicker. Then some said one sounded better than the other. I guess I'm confused.

 

you want to choose subwoofer- if you choose speaker then it will be just another speaker.

also after enable is done make sure to set you treble and bass on your radio.
