Yes, that point has been made and acknowledged multiple times in this thread. So has the fact that the Kicker option provides complete plug and play right down to using existing pre drilled holes, works flawlessly with the 2.7 auto start/stop and comes with a warranty.

Different options are good to have based on people's different needs/wants.

Yep, area of a circle is πr2 (pi r squared) so 25/16 better ,not accounting for travel in the z axis and other factors.

so surface area is the only thing that matters?

Glad to hear that you were able to put together a system that made you happy.

As for the system that we offer it does offer some benefits. Especially for owners with the Auto-Start.
Plus, the system does come with a Ford parts warranty that is good at any Ford dealer.

To each their own, and maybe what we offer peeks some other members interest.

Just went to my dealer here in Clearwater, FL and they changed the settings for free. Why should they charge you if they're only changing a factory setting already in the truck?

Yep LOL That is like saying having a v8 engine is the only thing that matters. Maybe it is just one really important thing.

Sound Intensity(decibels) = (Energy / Time)* Area

This has been known for some time (link to1952 article)

If you wish to achieve the same sound intensity of your higher frequencies coming out of your mids and tweets then since the (Energy/Time) is low (like low frequencies in a subwoofer) then you have to increase the area (woofer size and movement) to compensate.

Most guitar amps have 10” or 12” speakers and this appears to be the golden size. The alternate way to do this is hornloading which takes up more room than most people have in their vehicle.

Cause they're out to make $$$, while some actually care about repeat customers!

Not all subs put off great Bass! Try increasing the Gain, or Bass Boost. Also bump up the Bass setting on the radio. If no joy, you have a bad sub or amp, missing a fuse on the amp, or possibly you connector isn't seated PROPERLY?

Just some thoughts... But if working properly, your new sub, should provide much noticed Bass. That wasn't there before!
