What settings are people using on the hideaway? Base boost, x-over, gain?

Kicker Hideaway. It just didn't have enough power or volume for me. I have since installed a 10" down fire sub with a 300w amp and the sound is exactly what i was looking for.

I noticed the same thing regarding the speaker settings in IDS/Forscan. If switched to 6/7 speaker w/ sub, as someone stated early in the thread, it switches the sub signal to low level. I tried both the Kicker Hideaway, and an Alpine MRV-M250 amp running a separate sub, and saw the same with both. You have to crank the gain all the way up to get any sort of noticeable signal going to the sub.

Resetting that setting in Forscan made a noticeable difference, although I still feel like I have to set the gain higher than it should be to really 'feel' the sub back there. The seatback seems to absorb more than normal amount of sound, and I have the dual panel roof in my truck, so I'm fighting an uphill battle it seems.

I'm still considering tapping a door speaker, just to see if that makes any difference.

i'm looking for a little bit more thump like a base drum or a little bit more thump from the top strings on a base guitar , i'm not looking for that tag vibrating vibration brown noise.

will the kicker setup deliver?

I haven't heard the new Substage, but I would guess it sounds similar to the Kicker Hideaway, Rockford PS8, etc. Hideaway works fine with Auto StartStop with WPT harness.

yes if your truck is already prewired all you have to do to install which is very easy, you will have to make a few holes into the carpet don't worry it's all behind the seat. all the holes are there and the kit comes with the bolts and 1 bracket. once you install it just hook up forscan and enable the required fields

example. my truck is a scab so i enabled 7

enable 2

when done make sure to readjust your treble and base.

very easy.

Look behind the trim that is where the driver rear seat belt is.
