Default Don't Do It!

Don't just walk into a dealership and order a truck! Insist on speaking to only the GM or OWNER FIRST!
ASK THEM ........."DO YOU HAVE F150 ALLOCATIONS AVAILABLE TO YOU RIGHT NOW?"

If the say they DON'T KNOW or NO ....then just walk...don't believe any timetable promises on future allotment. Just go to the next closest dealer and start with them.
If they have allotment...they should be willing to place the order in your presence and provide you with a printout with order # and order details.

For a "vanilla" build they may be, but not if you want a few features to fit your needs, and don't want everything else a dealer throws on.
The dealers know what sells and that is what they ordered. They will add the tow package, but hardly any add the max tow for example. And for whatever reason, the majority have the short box. So far, I have not found my build at any of the nearby dealers. And it is nothing too crazy.

Or just do like me, buy 10 vehicles over 8 years from the same salesman/same dealership and already know their allocation on the vehicle(s) that you buy ...

Very good points. Also color comes into play as well as box length engine size and gearing... Out here every 15 ( not very many) are white, black, or silver Screws 4X4 Not what I want... it is just what sells out here.

why dont you just say that you are little pissed off because you have been waiting for your truck for x number of weeks because the dealer "lied", or embellished, the truth about their allocations?

if you wait just a little bit, you will get what you want. No one will really care if you are the first dude on the block with a '15 FISO.

I'm seeing demand (for our units) ramping up in the next 20-30 days indicating upwards of 10,000 units per week will be flowing out of KC and DTP combined. That's a 25% increase over last year.
