Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
On mine AccuWeather app works fine just on the Sync3 as does whatever they put on there. Say five day forecast, or weather map and see what it does. This is just on the Sync3 and not the car play BTW:
Hey guys, hoping someone can help me... I have read tons of pages(not all 480 pages) but I am confused. I am a new member, but used the forum for years on my 06 F-150, but recently upgraded my truck(not my sync)
I bought a 2016 King Ranch with Sync3 12/16/17. When I check the version it says 1.0. So, I thought I would try over the wifi update, but even when I am on wifi, it checks for the update(or at least it is giving me todays date and time as the last time it checked), have automatic updates turned on... But it doesn't appear to ever do anything towards updating. I went to the ford website to download it and put it on a thumb drive, but says that service is temporarily unavailable and try again later... I have checked the website several times, different computers, different operating systems, and different web browsers. I scheduled a service appointment last Saturday at my local dealer to have the update done, and after I dropped it off and left they called and said they "forgot" the ford downloader or whatever was down for maintenance, and that I would have to wait until after the 27th to bring it back in. So I assumed that meant they had the same issue and that the system would be back up today... Still got the same message from the website. So I finally broke down and called support, waited for a little over 20 minutes, and was told that there is a know issue and that Ford is trying to resolve it. Had no estimation on when it would be fixed, nor when the problem first occurred. She recommened me doing it over wifi, and assured me that system was up and running and there were no known issues if I wanted to try that. When I told her my truck said it checked, and didn't update, she told me that it had to have full signal to do the upgrade...
I am fairly certain in my garage at home it gets full signal and I do know that today at my office it was not full signal... Does any of this seem correct or possible? Is there another place that I can download the update from and it work smoothly? Is there another reason my 1.0 will not upgrade to the 2.3 or 2.2 (whatever the newest one is) Its annoying right now, because listening to my phone sometimes it cuts out when playing music almost sounds like it is skipping, but the timer for the song on the phone keeps moving and it does pick up later in the song. But when I am talking over bluetooth, I have never had anything but perfectly clear audio. Also, if I plug my phone in, sometimes I cannot get my phone and truck to reconnect via bluetooth, until I shut my truck off... I assume upgrading it will fix most/all of these issues...
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Everytime I try it says, “System Error - This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later or contact us.”Says the same thing everytime since last week when I started trying... any other ideas?
I have been to the Dealer and their response was to bring it in while the "No Audio" problem is present. I have not been able to replicate it.
I do understand the separate issues and SSM 45945 is associated with the "No Audio" issue and calls for the ACM to be re-programmed. Would this also correct the 911 problem?
The Antenna Issue is associated with SSM 46016.
My problem is how to get the Dealer to address these 2 issues without replicating them.
