Current SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
I continue to receive a "Installation failed" message. V1.0 Non-nav. Followed all directions and tried about 10 times with master resets in between. Loads for about 10 minutes before getting the error. Says that it's either run out of space or not compatible.
I know enough about computers to know that I'm unzipping and loading properly, just can't seem to get it to install. Anyone figured out a way around this?
Thanks

So i got bored last night and did the 2.2 upgrade. Went from 2.0NAV to 2.2NAV
Update went fast (may-be minutes). After the udpate was done, shut the truck off for 5 min, back on, and everything went smoothly.
Honestly I can't tell a difference between 2.0 and 2.2. Nav came back instantly for me, didn't even have to wait. I'll play around with it more, but I see no differences at all.

Well, now that I have CarPlay working the only real value is the ability to listen and send texts to my family by voice as well as listen to podcasts and audiobooks. Given the hours I spend in my truck commuting (5 hours +), it's nice to have but I admit, I like the Sync screen better
I had previously posted that the Sync 2.2 non-nav update went just fine in my 2016 SCREW but now after having the new software for a couple weeks, I noticed my back-up camera now always works. Previously, it had intermittent functionality (get the back up camera notification on the screen but sometimes had a camera image and sometimes didn't). Took it to the dealership and of course it worked just fine while there with no trouble codes....check found OK, could not duplicate. Since the sync update, the camera works all the time. Coincidence? Or does Sync software actually affect camera communication with the display inside the truck?
