Good news, did the update in my 2017 F150 w/Nav from 2.0 to 2.2 took abut 15 minutes. Great improvement in how the applications work via the Ford system. SO far so good, will text more tomorrow.
Really glad this worked out.

Just as an informative type post...the Dec release was for 2016 Lincoln based vehicles EXCEPT the MKX. Ford put out notice that the update was not available for 16 MKX owners. Well it has been officially released for the 16 MKX now, three months from the original Lincoln release date. Guess what....same exact files.
Master reset? LOL I have don't that several times, also soft resets as well.
I have spent hours on the phone with Ford, they can't get it to work the same way twice. I work for a phone company and even tried a new out of the box iPhone with 2 apps installed, Ford app and pandora and they still could not get it to function properly.
I mean AA and Apple CP work great, but if you try to use the connected apps it is a hot mess.
Is this happening for anyone else? That is why I am asking about 2.2 to see if that can add any stability to the software.
For tech support told me that there are 3 (yes three) other customer that are experiencing this same issue nationally?

I think you`re just going to have to take the plunge and install the unofficial update onto your 2017 F150 and see if that`ll help you get beyond the problems that you`re having.
I believe the reason that you`re not getting any feedback on installing the update on 2017 F150`s is because of the uncertainty of what if anything might happen or change after the update.
Sooner or later, someone will take a chance so maybe you should be the first.
Funny that you`re having so many problems whereas in my 2016 F150 and i`m still on version 1.0, I can use all of the Ford apps for iOS on my iPad Pro hooked up via the USB.
I did the update last night and it looks like it fixed most of the issues I was experiencing. 2.0 to 2.2
It has a lot to do with what version of iOS you are running and what apps you have installed. Also - I do not know if the apps function differently under 2.2 vs 1.0.

Hopefully when iOS 10.3 is released, which should be very soon, all of these problems will be history.
I updated to 2.2 everything went well except the phone buttons on my steering wheel do not work while in AA, they work in sync. I can use the touchscreen to use my phone, any ideas how to get the buttons on my steering wheel to work?
