Lumpy, I agree with the above post, if you have Nav and are content with what you have now, just wait for Ford to push the update over the air. I do not have nav in my XLT, I loaded the update with the 2 files here and now can use nav from google maps with AA. I only use AA if I am going somewhere I have not been and need the Nav, I am content with the normal radio operations and really don't stream music so the only reason I upgraded was to have the Nav option. Good luck in making your decision, btw, I have not had any issues or real concerns after loading the 2.2 update.

I had a similar problem, you have to us fat32 format and then the files are smaller this way.

 

Exfat also works.

 

Yeah, I figured it out after I had already tried the 2nd file. The first drive I used was FAT32. Then I used (accidentally) a NTFS formatted drive for the second half of the install. I reformatted and tried the second one again and nothing. So I did a master reset and started all over with correctly formatted drives. 1sr disk second time around gave me this error: MEM_ERR03



I went ahead and installed disk 2 (correctly formatted this time) and it said install successful. Everything seems to work but notice, there is no Gracenote version number like everyone else.

 

Is there any indication of when Ford (Canada) will start pushing out the over-the-air update?

 

Sure, sometime during 2017! Maybe...

 

Sync 4 will have come out before Ford finishes pushing 2.2.x out.

 

Anyone else have trouble signing in to owner.ford.com?

 

I just signed into it a little while ago to check to see what version it says my sync 3 is, still says 1.0 about 3 weeks after my upgrade to 2.2.

 

I installed the 2.2 upgrade (2016 W/Nav) and all has gone well with one exception - I am unable to connect for wireless updates. It does connect to my server but when the update runs, it just spins the icon. Sometimes, after a 20 minute try, the screen shows the last update was unsuccessful, try again.

Has anyone run into this or have a way to correct it
