I thought I was being the only knucklehead. I just cant see me inserting a thumb drive and playing havoc with my 58k investment and then when it doesn't work have Ford tell me oh well, I guess you should have waited for the official release.

Hub is "out for delivery" today!! (said Tuesday when I ordered it).

So I bought a set of the trim tools that were mentioned...
Got the hub out (what a pain in the azz) I was afraid it was going to break something, but
it eventually came out without damage.

So as I (impatiently) await the mailman... I'm looking at the plugs.
The grey one with the thin (delicate) wires looks like it has a release tab so that should be easy enough to remove. What about the black one (power I assume) does that have a release or does it just pull strait off? It's kinda tight space to work.

I'm guessing it's best to remove the grey first to avoid damaging the wires or their connection (plus it looks easier to get the grey first).

Looking to hear how everyone els did it...
Did you secure the wires so they don't vanish into the console?

The OP indicates that there is a 1.1.(update) What's going on here, what am missing? Why when i log into Fords web site state that i am on the most current version if there is an update to Version 1.1?

Ford pulled the 1.1 update. You're at the most publicly available update.

Yea, I am now on Version 2.2 and its working great but when I log into FordOwner it still says that I am on Version 1, guess it takes a few days for the site to update, its been about a week since I updated to 2.2.
I think that if you are still running Version 1, then Ford will say you are current until they release the Version 2. The Version 1.1 was a bunch of patches to fix glitches.

You have to join to WiFi and then have Sync check for an update. That will update the owner site.

Or use the FordPass app on your phone and log into your account before connecting to your vehicle.

You have to download the update from the links in this thread, if they are still alive. Ford has delayed the release via the owner website and WiFi, until sometime in 2017. Maybe before the end of the year.

Which update version 1.1 or 2.2 are you referring to?
