Guessing they won't release the update until dealers can get some inventory of the hubs on hand so they don't need to turn people away. They don't care about the scores of people that would like the update and don't care about getting the hub installed at the dealer. Which I'm sure will have profit margin built in due to the part required.

Profit margin on the hub plus pm on the labor. A win win for everybody except the customer.

Finally got my non-nav v1.0 all updated. Used the Lincoln USB hub. I don't mind the white lights at all, it matches the little bin light. Plus I keep the bin closed anyway with the USB cord relocation mod. The process of updating and replacing the hub took less than 30 mins. Harbor freight trim tools for the win! Let the truck sit about 20-30 mins, went back out and it's showing v2.2. So far no issues, everything worked perfectly.

Thanks to all who made this happen!!

Have done the 2.2 Nav update without a hitch. On a long trip today I was given a no gps warning at times. But Nav knew where we were at at all times. Any ideas on this one?

Installed the update in my 2016 Lariat and appears all is well. Having some issues with the various features and some of the apps.

is there a support site or document that outlines use of Android Auto

Does it have to be plugged in to work? will it work thru BlueTooth once it's set up or always need the cord?

Anyone can link from a good source that the update is delayed?

I swapped them back and forth several times to make sure it wasn't a fluke and the problem was consistent with the new hub. Has anyone also used this exact part? If so what results have you had?

I wanted this hub so that other people could use CarPlay when driving my truck but if AA won't work with it then it's a non-starter.

Okay this is strange and unfortunate. The hub that came with my truck works great with Android Auto (but obviously CarPlay doesn't work at all.) The new hub that I ordered from Tasca (part number GJ7Z-19A387-B (with sticker on internal part that shows GJ7T-14F014-AC)) does not work with AA but works fine for CarPlay.

So it appears like I can have one or the other (either CP or AA) but not both

Looks like I'll be returning the part to Tasca. Has anybody tested both AA and CP with this update? If so, can you share details and the part number for the hub that you installed?

I'm already in love with AA--but not everyone in my household uses Android--so I ultimately need to find a solution that will all both AA & CP to work.

Thanks

Question for the Platinum and Limited Nav version upgraders. Any issues with the features that are specific to these truck models? Just checking if the multi contour seat and accent lighting features are still available after the upgrade. I'm assuming Sync recognizes the installed hardware features from the head unit.

Thanks lads for the update my truck took it flawlessly lots of little changes. Had to order the new hub mine is non compliant.

Was hoping the maps would have been updated. A major Canadian highway which opened two years ago I take daily is missing.

GJ7Z-19A387-B Works for both, but I highly recommend you try yours with a higher quality USB cable first because any USB should work for Android Auto. Also I need to plug in my phone, then unplug, and replug to get AA to work sometimes, but as a Android developer, the part in the USB cable that is required wares out fast even on the highest quality cables, so go buy a new decent cable (test all the ones your own first of course).
