Default Curb weight

Is there anyway to tell how much my truck weighs without using a scale as I don't really have access to one? I suppose I could go to a landscape store and ask but unless I'm buying rocks I don't think they'd be too receptive. I feel like there's gotta be a way to back into the curb weight based on vehicle capacities but I'm no expert on that. Anyone know

Most material places are willing to give you a weight. Try it.

Take a run to the landfill. Atleast around my parts they weigh you before and after.

Could you not take the GWVR rating on the door sticker and subtract the payload rating from the door sticker? This obviously won't work if you have added a bunch of aftermarket items like a truck cap, brush guard, etc.

I take it you are speaking from experience? Are they usually willing to weigh it for free?

GVWR is 7000 and my payload is 1,784 so by those calculations it weighs 5,216 lbs. Seems about right to me but i feel like I read some article that said a crew lariat weighs like 5,500. Guess I'll just have to have if weighed to settle it.

On a scale my 2015 5.0 lariat weighed in at 5400 even with my 230lb *** in it and 27(approx.) gallons of gas. Hope it helps

Cheers,

Tommy

That guide is extremely misleading. It shows my truck with a base curb weight of 4,925, where in reality it scaled at 5,360 with a full (extended) tank of gas and no driver on a C.A.T. scale before adding any aftermarket.

Yeah but I have read the weights really go up the higher trim level you go. Not sure why because added electronic features can't really weigh that much can they?
